Excerpt: The Sony Handycam is an excellent camera for capturing that special , wheather it is your toddlers first steps or your youngests wedding the handycam is an excellent product and is extremely functional.
Summary: Bought this a few years back now but still use it now. Very easy to operate on manual or easy record settings. It's a good size and not to heavy. Recording quality is good. Would recommend this to anyone.
Summary: I know this is an older camcorder but I only bought this last year and it wasn't that cheap. Picture quality is terrible, i have seen better videos recorded on mobile phones. I have already lost a few months of videos of my baby daughter due to this useless device - it recorded ok on the DVD but crashed during transfer to PC and now the DVD is corrupted. so the 3 months of precious videos are now gone forever.
Summary: I've had this camcorder now for a while it was my first ever camcorder and i'm glad i bought it, it looked very complicated to use when i first got it especially when i saw the instuction manual but i found it really easy to use. It takes really great top quality video and has face recognition so that you can down load them to your computer/laptop and print just the head shot's off, it also has night vision and has a touch screen.
Summary: I bought the camera to take to Australia to visit friends we last met in 1969 and bought a Sony because we have always had great service from our other Sony camera a cybershot DSC-P71. The touch screen is super and easy to use and the pictures are good quality, overall it performed very well at first. I had dvd+rw discs as bought with the camera and dvd-rw I got later as you can edit them on the camera after you get back home.
Summary: Having used a Sony DVD camcorder for just over 12 months I was beginning to get tired of some of its "issues", such as sqaushing 16:9 footage into 4:3 and Sony's own proprietary ways of coding the information on the DVD which makes it difficult to read by other software I have. But I was learning to live with them... However the worse thing happened on Christmas Day. Having taken video of the kids opening their presents I switched the camera off.
Summary: I have been making movies for about 4 years with the video mode on my ordinary cameras, I wanted to be able to zoom in further on wildlife, as above I am a bit disappointed with the shakiness of the footage, you definitely need a tripod to zoom in to digital x2000, there is no stablization as there is with my Fujifinepix camera.
Summary: Now this looks a very smart camcorder as was pleased when opened the box. Very confusing though when you try to get it started. Cannot register it either. When trying to register it with the disc it will only register it if you live in the states (although purchased on Amazon UK). So i tried online and that will still not register either. Filming was good though which we bought specifically for our new addition to the family. Recorded a whole dvd's worth.
