Summary: This is a device that has been made obsolete by my phone. It is very sleek. It is very easy to use and the screen is nice and big and clear. The wifi thing is a gimmick and is a hassle because you have to set up the service. Photo quality is ok. Video quality is very good. The problem is that.. my android and iphone each do just about as well... and why would I carry two devices. This whole product category is just a dead end.
Summary: The Bloggie Touch that I previously owned was great, this new Bloggie Live is even better. Still shots are amazing with the Bloggie Live so long as you have adequate light. In low to moderate light levels it's not that great. Video shooting is flawless just like the previous version, one button and you're going.
Summary: This was my second Sony Bloggie product, having previously gotten and reviewed the Sony Bloggie Touch after it came out in late 2010. I considered the shortcomings of the previous Bloggie and even put the devices side by side to determine what had changed and (hopefully) improved over the past year. The end result? Physically, the Bloggie Live is larger than the Bloggie Touch, but not by much. The design is almost identical.
Summary: Pros: Focus greatly improved Menu options more responsive Overheating issue appears to be resolved Uploading from camera great if you have no easy transfer option Cons: Focus still has it's issues In the price point, not sure what need it solves Having to use dedicated software annoys First the positive. There are huge improvements to the Sony Bloggie Live versus Sony Bloggie Touch Camera, 4-Hour (Black) .
Summary: If you're looking for a handy and durable video camera this one will do. The Bloggie produces excellent 1080 video. Just pull it from your pocket and start shooting. If you'd like, you can even stream live with "qik". Store up to 8gb of footage or download it directly to your Mac or PC. It's touchscreen application is a nice feature. One down side to the camera is that you can't plug and play it with other live steam video sites.
Summary: I heard the word "Live" and I got over-excited. I bought this from the SONY store, and it works fine performance wise. Getting set-up was easy, and connecting to Wi-Fi was a breeze. The interface was very Simple and easy to learn. You can also connect to a phone's wireless hotspot as if it were Wi-fi. However, this is still supposed to be a Camera and a Video Camera. The quility was very dissapointing. The day photos I've taken came out ok at best.
Summary: this is my 2nd bloggie camera, the first being the 3D version. that camera was ok, but more of a novelty than a great camera. i was excited to try to the bloggie live to see if sony had made any improvements. the answer? both yes and no. i'll make this as concise as possible. what i liked: i was able to quickly get the wi-fi set up, shoot a video, and upload it to youtube in a matter of seconds.
