Summary: This has been an excellent camera. Battery life could be longer and more zoom might be useful, but honestly it makes high quality video (in good light) and captures sound well. It's small enough to travel with conveniently and, though it has been dropped many times, continues to function normally after nearly 2 years. I use it for videoing clients, training sessions, events, and interviews and never have issues with cut-off or recording problems.
Summary: my Sanyo VPC-PD2BK is crazy compact! provides great pics and videos especially with it's 3x optical zoom. i originally got this to carry with my Skywarn Weather Spotter gear i use for storm spotting. captures storm clouds and weather fronts perfectly for my amateur needs. so light you almost forget you have it. does very well in the low light conditions of heavily overcast skies. taking it on vacation it did not disappoint when taking panoramas and stills.
Summary: Chose this as a pocket camera when I realized it's not always such a hot idea to use a cell phone for a camera (and risk losing the phone, and all the contact info in it). Great video quality, easy to use. It also fits nicely in an old Blackberry holster.
Summary: I bought this several months ago for my trip to Egypt. During the trip it did pretty well. The picture and video came out quiet nice.. The sound quality was good, I didn't find any problems with picking up my guide during the multiple trips. The zoom feature is good, I would of liked to have been able to zoom more but it did a good job. When zooming, shaking increases so it might have been a good trade off by design.
Great all around pocket camera, I highly recommend.

Summary: Like all sanyo xacti cameras an excellent buy great pics sound quality is excellent. I have owned several sanyo camcorders and I have never been disappointed with any of them. This one is no exception, the buttons can be a bit of a challenge but in a way but that is overshadowed by the quality of the camera. Its lightweight, and can be quickly attached to your computer with the built in adapter, great design.
Loving This Camcorder! Better Than Most Other Pocket Cameras

Summary: This is the perfect pocket camcorder/camera for my needs. I wanted a dual purpose camcorder/camera that I could take with me everywhere. My Canon DSLRs are too bulky to haul around everywhere and would not be allowed in some places because they are immediately recognized as "professional" equipment. I carry the PD2 in a case on my belt all the time. I am very pleased with my purchase.
Summary: If you are looking to invest in a pocket HD camcorder, the PD2 is an AMAZING buy and let me tell you why. GREAT HD video quality both 1080 and 720. I've seen reviews where people are disappointed in the quality, and that is mainly because they are viewing on PC. I watch all my videos on my iMac and the quality is amazing. Low light is even pretty good. The PD2 also takes pictures. Even while filming. You simply press the photo button and a pic is taken.
Summary: I want to find something easy to use for my parent. I also wanted them to be able to use it as a camera and camcorder without too much work. I was considering Flip and Kodak, while they are easy for video, both required computer skill to take pictures. Them I stumbled onto Sanyo. The dual camera concept is EXACTLY what I had wanted. Its great for my parent since they don't know much about electronic.
