Summary: I use this a lot to shoot music videos - it is nothing short of amazing. It captures images in low light that other cameras don't see - the high sensitivity setting is a wonder. I'm a musician and sound engineer so plenty of experimenting was done with accessory microphones on the camera's shoe.
Summary: Just seeing the stats of the Sanyo XACTI HD 1010 will bring you to a hasty conclusion that there must be some sort of catch with this little camera, but surprisingly there is not. It is every bit the miracle it boasts and is a device that if sent back to 1980 would actually be seen as sci-fi.
Summary: A very excellent choice for a pocket camcorder. Expandable memory is great, shooting quality is superb, and there's tons of resolutions to shoot at. ISO, shutter speed, and other tweaks are also very accessible; the built-in flash is a great addition.
Summary: Wanted to purchase a new, small HD video/photo camera for our main video and back up photo camera. Checked many reviews at Amazon, very helpfull. Checked prices at other retailers, Amazon was a hit ! First use was a vacation to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedoma, etc.....

The stabilization is not great on long zoom shots, but I have gotten use to holding the camera against a sign post, or something so I can get a steady shot at...
Summary: I purchased the Sanyo HD1010 from Amazon last month and have used it frequently in that time to justify a review. I love this camera and highly recommend it to anyone that wants a quality HD camcorder and a quality 4 MP still camera (up to 8 MP actually) all-in-one.
Summary: I wanted a small, lightweight hidef camera at a reasonable price. So far the Xacti seems to match my needs. I saw several cameras by high end companies, Sony, Cannon, etc, but I wanted to keep the price well under $1000.
