Summary: This is a great woman's video camera. Small, pink, fits in your pocket or bag. Takes good videos and the zoom is good too. Don't be fooled to think the pictures are as good as the expensive cameras, but it is equal if not better to the iphone camera and video, and you can zoom in which you cannot do with the iphone. Also, terrific is you can take video or photos with it.
Summary: Given its size, I thought this camcorder would not function as well as a big one - wrong. I took some wonderful pictures of New Zealand's spectacular scenery and close up, indoor, pictures of our family. This little beauty did it all and easily coped with low lighting conditions. OK,.for some stuff, the sheer size of the camera meant that some highly magnified images were a little shaky, but only a little, and I couldn't be bothered with a tripod.
Summary: So far so good for a slightly older model...no problems or failures..decent quality pocket hd vidcam...sharp video,& decent 10x optical zoom...Has similar quality features like sanyo vpc-cg20, but a more advanced model with enhanced capabilities...it's to bad sanyo was bought by panasonic and took over the xacti line...I understand that Panasonics newer versions are actually a step backwards and not as good...(*rolling shutter,& bad stabilization..

Summary: Great product. Videos are very fine, it can take pictures while making videos, and its battery is long lasting enough for one day of shooting while on vacation ! Buy this with confidence, I've been using mine since october 2010 !
Summary: I love this little camera and use it for everything. The zoom is great and the videos it takes in HD are stunning. The ability to use the sdhc card and the portability (easily fits in my pockeet) makes it a true winner. Not sure what the complaint is about the photos. Mine look great. I have taken many photos with the unit and there is nothing at his price that does all this in this small a package for less.
Summary: Initially I chose the Sanyo Xacti CS1 because of the price. At $299 it was much less expensive than the camera I had been looking at. I liked the small size of the camera, and hoped that a third of the thing that the company said would prove to be true. I bought the camera in March, just as it was being released in the states. I purchased extra batteries too because they are usually the biggest shortcoming with anything electronic.
Summary: I got this camera along with a 16mb memory card to record media..It records great videos and decent pictures with the 8mb camera. Small and easy to use...It is gorgeous. Of course, under dark conditions things get grainy, but with proper lighting it is awesome...The mic zoom feature is also great, in that you can choose omni mode or target mode to aim the mic..And as small as it is, it still has a tripod port. All in all a tremendous technical breakthrough.
Summary: Before it arrived, I was a bit sceptic about such a feature-rich camera being so small and cheap. I've had a few cameras, including Sanyo and Sony and this one surprisingly came out on top with respect to picture quality for both video and still images. Handles outdoors and indoors shooting very well. Adjusts to changes in light conditions very quickly and effectively, resolution is just what they promise in its specs.
