Summary: GOT it cheap and it's great that as a still camera, this one comes with Aperture Priority and spot metering Why don't I like it? The shutter release for stills is crap Many times, after I trigger it, the camera doesn't capture any picture It's ok for daytime videos Alas when the sun sets, the video is worse than a camera-phone And I'm not talking about smartphones This SANYO can't even compare with a Nokia 2MP camera The preview is also not good at all Instead of the...
Summary: This is a great woman's video camera. Small, pink, fits in your pocket or bag. Takes good videos and the zoom is good too. Don't be fooled to think the pictures are as good as the expensive cameras, but it is equal if not better to the iphone camera and video, and you can zoom in which you cannot do with the iphone. Also, terrific is you can take video or photos with it.
Summary: I like the camera. It's very convienent to keep in your pocket when you don't want to lug around a bigger camera. The small size and tiny buttons does make it a little hard to use without jiggling it. The built-in light is only good for clode-ups of maybe 3 feet away at the most. Actual still resolution is 3 MP. You can set it on 8 MP, but it is simply interpolated up and the image quality is worse. I also found 720p video to be better quality than the 1080i setting.
Summary: Given its size, I thought this camcorder would not function as well as a big one - wrong. I took some wonderful pictures of New Zealand's spectacular scenery and close up, indoor, pictures of our family. This little beauty did it all and easily coped with low lighting conditions. OK,.for some stuff, the sheer size of the camera meant that some highly magnified images were a little shaky, but only a little, and I couldn't be bothered with a tripod.
Summary: This dual camera worked great for a while. Then it started giving me random error messages. Trying to find support for the camera is a complete waste of time. I have searched the web upside down for error messages and visited support pages. You can download the manual. You can search the knowledge base (it's worthless)...but you can't call anyone. AVOID AVOID AVOID. This dual camera is a piece of rubbish.
Summary: when I read high definition I like to think it is a good quality. I ran my tests outside and have other camcorder to compare quality. The quality of so called HD on the Sanyo VPC wasn;t there. I was very disappointed.
Summary: So far so good for a slightly older model...no problems or failures..decent quality pocket hd vidcam...sharp video,& decent 10x optical zoom...Has similar quality features like sanyo vpc-cg20, but a more advanced model with enhanced capabilities...it's to bad sanyo was bought by panasonic and took over the xacti line...I understand that Panasonics newer versions are actually a step backwards and not as good...(*rolling shutter,& bad stabilization..
Summary: Try for 2 days, good picture, very little camera ,super sound, too little in fact, not easy for the photo button, zoom and video button :ok. mot much juice for battery :maybe not charge it often.(1 time). it a small camera , did not think it would be to small. all cover connection are not easy to open. i paid the cam 1/3 of the retail price, so nothing to lose.

Summary: Great product. Videos are very fine, it can take pictures while making videos, and its battery is long lasting enough for one day of shooting while on vacation ! Buy this with confidence, I've been using mine since october 2010 !
Summary: This unit works as advertised. However, I find it hard to use because of its design. Holding it with one hand, it is hard to hold the camera and press the controls with my thumb without having a finger over the lens.
