Buyer Beware! Short Warranty and Terrible Service.

Summary: This product comes with a very short 90-day warranty and terrible phone and web site support. I did not pay attention to how long the warranty period was when placing my order in Thanksgiving 2008. Big mistake. I used the camera only on vacations and holidays. So on the 3rd use this past summer (about 8 months after the purchase), the auto-zoom went dead. I then checked the warranty and realized it came with a 3-month labor warranty.
Summary: I will start by saying that this was the worst camera experience that I ever had or for that fact any of my friends ever had. I purchase the camera on April 21 on Amazon.com. After I recieved it I got the chance to take a little video and still shots. The quality of the video was impressive on the highest settings but don't view it on a HD television. The video is quite grainy. The still shots are far from a 9mp quality.
Summary: I researched and had read the reviews and felt that I was purchasing a good product.... I was VERY disappointed. I even looked at the video that was online and the images...there is no way they used this same camera. I am very experienced in capturing video and images and making multimedia products, so it is not like I am an amateur at this.
Summary: Well I have been looking for a small flash camcorder to shoot video of the kids. I started with the Aiptek Ahd, which looks ok on the computer but very very poor on my lcd and plasma. So the Aiptek went back. I have shot some test video with the Sanyo HD1000 and was very impressed, but didn't want to spend $700. So when I heard about the CG9 coming out I decided to give it a try. Wow what a difference between the HD1000 and the CG9!
