Summary: I love this little thing. It takes great pics. Videos are ok, the mic captures more sound from the person holding it than from whatever it is videoing. I really like that it has a tripod mount and that the screen swivels. So versatile. I bought this because reading about it, it was supposed to be usable as a webcam as well, but I never could get that feature to work. Even so, it's a great compact size for taking with you anywhere, and takes great pics and mediocre video.
Summary: We have had this camera for a while without any major issues. I wish the battery lasted longer (get extras) and it had a regular mini USB connector. I don't understand why Sanyo felt the need to make it without a standard USB hook up. I would still buy it again. The videos and pictures have been very good. Low light videos are a bit so so .
Summary: I have had one of these for several years and I love it. It is truly pocket size and very comfortable in the hand. I use a very famous brand of camera that is a lot larger and heavier and I really have a hard time telling the photos apart without really enlarging them. 5x optical zoom is normally plenty. There is something just so cool about whipping this little bit of ergonomic art out and getting great pics. The video is just OK.
Easy to carry anywhere and still make great pictures.

Summary: I have had two simular cameras by this same manufacturer and all work very well. I can easily transfer pictures to my computer and store on discs. I like these because I can carry in a shirt pocket while hunting and take pictures of animals from long distances or small creatures up close.Sanyo makes great cameras.
Summary: I bought my Xacti about a year and a half ago on Lightning Sale. It was a serious steal. It was probably the best impulse buy I've ever made on here (and I've made a lot). It takes beautiful crisp photos and great video. I've read some of the negative reviews and think the problems lay with the users not the product in most cases. True, it does no have a plug in wall cord. The battery charger plugs in but that's it.
Summary: I have own a Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG9 9MP Flash Memory Camcorder with 5x Optical Zoom bought from Amazon in 2008. I love it except it has a short battery life. You only get about an hour of charge if you do any video and/or zooming. Very disappointing. I am getting ready to buy a few spare batteries.
Summary: This is a nice little cam. I see it as a step above a cell phone video. The thing I like about it, is its portability and FAST ready. You can go from having the camera OFF to Recording video in seconds. The two things I do not like: 1) If you lose the USB sync cable... you are in trouble!! It is NOT a standard cable! It looks like one, but the end you stick into the camera is NOT standard.
Buyer Beware! Short Warranty and Terrible Service.

Summary: This product comes with a very short 90-day warranty and terrible phone and web site support. I did not pay attention to how long the warranty period was when placing my order in Thanksgiving 2008. Big mistake. I used the camera only on vacations and holidays. So on the 3rd use this past summer (about 8 months after the purchase), the auto-zoom went dead. I then checked the warranty and realized it came with a 3-month labor warranty.
Summary: Update 11-12-09 3 stars The indoors natural light pictures and video this takes is unacceptably poor so I returned it. If this is used outdoors only, or with flash indoors, it takes fairly good pictures and nice video. For this price you might look elsewhere like the Canon SX110 series. Original Review 4 stars First of all I own Canon cameras (Canon SD1000 and Canon SX110) that take better photo's and videos than this does but the things this combo does is quite good.
Summary: Bought this camera expecting all listed features to work. This camera takes fair vidios,if you don't move to much, fair still pictures but won't print date on photo copies or on images transfered to computer.Contacted Sanyo and after 4 or 5 emails back and fourth their last reply was that it will not print date unless you have PicBridge on your printer or on images transfered to computer.I also took my sd card to Wal-Mart to make copies and it will not print dates with...
