Good pics but jerky videos

danscoins1946, Ebay
8 December 2013
  • Summary: Takes very good pics but when shooting a video, the movement of the camera makes everything look "jerky and ghosly" on playback. If all you take are still, then this is not bad at all.

Good Video, but...

Jo and Mark Baker, Amazon
25 August 2013
  • Summary: Overall, the video and picture quality is good. You can really see issues when you zoom in as the zoom is digital, so you are loosing pixels as you increase the zoom. It is also irritating that I had to go online to download the user manual, and the link given in the "directions" included in the box was incorrect. The cover over the memory card slot is about as poorly designed as it can be, and I doubt it will be long before it breaks.

sonny

sonny, Amazon
28 July 2013
  • Summary: It's good. Keep it dry because water will damage it. Loud noises will ruin it to. It gives a slight fisheye view on HD videos. Not a bad camcorder at all.

Awesome-ish Camera

Steve, Amazon
28 November 2012
  • Summary: I got this camera and its awesome. I still have it and shoot all kinds of movies and random shots. Both the camera and video modes are great and there is no drop in quality, as is common in alot of combo cameras. Its great for shots anytime day or night or any condition. The only problem i had was the lens is not very strong or secured, i dropped it once and the whole setup went out of whack.

Great Camera

Angela Minicuci, Amazon
25 November 2012
  • Summary: I bought this camera for my boyfriend and we use it all the time for shooting videos! We've used it snowboarding and it held up great in the snow and cold. The video came out great. Would definitely recommend using this for home movies.

Best value for compact size and video quality on the market

lbmarcs, Ebay
6 October 2012
  • Summary: I have bought TWO of these camcorders (black and red)... In my opinion, it is one of the best camcorders for it size and price on the market.. It's just too bad they discontinued the Sanyo brand...(bought out by Panasonic)... I found only 1 major drawback...it was very hard for me to find a replacement cable to use in copying the video from the camcorder to my DVD recorder...finally, after a 3 month wait, I received one from Panasonic... Highly recommend the brand..

Fair video quality yet not as easy to handle as appears

newby003, Ebay
9 March 2012
  • Summary: Its a decent quality camcorder that is not as easy to control as it appears. The controls are somewhat cumbersome. It does produce fair quality video but dont plan to use the internal memory for video as you will only get a few seconds.

Just OK

SmokeyMike "SmokeyMike", Amazon
17 January 2012
  • Summary: Pros: small, light, memory card slot, full HD, good battery life. Cons: not great (grainy) in low to medium light conditions; file sizes can be HUGE. Its Mpeg4 format can only be played on certain video players - my version of Windows Media Player won't handle Mpeg4 nor will my Irfanview (freeware) player (maybe there's a plug-in available). I had to download Quicktime to play the videos on my PC.
