Summary: A friend of mine got this camera and couldn't recommend it enough so I bought it too. It's easy and fun to use, and the picture quality is hard to beat. This is probably the best video camera I've owned to date!
Summary: I bought this camcorder to upgrade from a Samsung SMX K40BN which by the way is excellent also. But I Love the SC HMX 20C it is actually a lot better than what I expected Takes Beautiful Video and Beautiful Stills also. This camcorder is very easy to set-up and operate. Also the quality of the camcorder is excellent very solid. Also has built in pop up flash and takes 8mp photos.I will more than likely buy another one for my wife so I don't have to share.LOL
Summary: Great camera. Discontiued 1080p camera. With 16GB class 6 15MB/s card, holds over 2 hours of video. Intenal memory holds less, but still over an hour. The batteries seem to last 70 to 90 minutes though so have it plugged in or buy extra batteries if you are recording long. Found some cheap ones on Amazon for $12 each that work well. Great resolution and sound, though get something to help if you are in a windy sintuation. Touch menus are great as well.
Good HD Camcorder but suffers from several critical issues.

Summary: I purchased this camera used a few days ago, it was basically brand new when I bought it so I don't feel like any of the issues I experienced are related to its condition. That said I'm happy with the my purchase at least insofar as its intended use. First of all the camera is only slightly larger and heavier than my older standard definition Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder w/34x Optical Zoom (Red) which is rather nice as I'm used to its operation an this camera...
Summary: I think there should be a total recall of this camera, I purchased it new in a box and used the velcro handle to get the feel of the thing and it came loose from the housing and fell around six feet to the floor. I can't help but laugh,it could have fell off as I was taking that once it a lifetime photo from my cruise ship balcony. No warranty camera is junk.
Summary: Likes: Great pictures Great looks Smart swivel grip Nice flash Can use with power cord if battery runs out Pretty good HD video Nice anti-shake and other features (eazy-Q) Not so good: HD shots are best in brighter light conditions Colors seem "flat" in dimmer light conditions Battery lasts about an hour (actually not too bad for most of my situations) All things considered (with the price of it's nearest competitors), if you can pick one up for 4 to 500.00, I think...

Summary: I am finally replacing my Mini-DV camcorder with a wonderful True HD Camcorder. The portability and capacity of SDHC cards makes this medium a more feasible form of media and this camera makes an excellent travel companion. I also have the Samsung SC-MX20 which is an excellent entry level camcorder that is great for Youtube video and makes a great format for any other online video site like Swing Academy (for golfers out there).
Summary: After returning a different camcorder because of disappointing video quality I researched a bit harder and ended up buying the HMX20. I am very happy with the Samsung- videos taken in decent light are gorgeous and sharp, well exposed, and with nice contrast. I haven't noticed compression artifacts or aliasing.
Summary: I had a chance to own both this Samsung SC-HMX20C and Canon HF100. Comparing to Canon HF100, this Samsung unit has: Pros: 1. 8G internal memory. 2. 8M pixels still picture recording Cons: 1. No optical stabilization which is my biggest complain. It has a electronic stabilization which is totally useless. 2. Hard/slow to focus compared to HF100 3. Slow when switching between Camcorder/Camera/Watching mode. 5. Slow when zoom in/out. 6. Bucky. 7. Pricy. $80 more than HF100.
