Summary: The Samsung VP-HMX20 impressed us with the quality of its video even in low light, making this more than just a good-looking stylish model. We'd like more manual control -- and more subtle control over the zoom -- but it's so easy to use that we can look past that to see how good this camorder is
Excerpt: Samsung’s HMX20C camcorder has been out for almost a year now but for many consumers that may actually be a good thing. Normally we focus on buying the newest gear available so it will be usable as long as possible, but for certain purchases–especially camcorders and cameras–this isn’t necessary.
Excerpt: The SC-HMX20C represents an HD camcorder that most will find easy use, feature packed and has all issues solved from the previous year's model. Through extensive testing, there wasn't much it couldn't handle and performance and image/video quality were excellent for such a small unit.
Summary: Different resolutions are available including 1920x1080i and 1920x1080p. My current TV does 1920x1080i but we recorded video at both the interlaced and progressive settings for the review. Because the video is simply H.264 we were able to easily play back the files on our computer using Power DVD or QuickTime. The images below are frame grabs from the video as it played back.
Pros: Small Size & Big Features!, Full HD Capability 1920x1080p, 6.4MP CMOS Sensor, Decent Digital Camera with Flash, Solid Construction, Good Video Image Quality, HD Camera That Fits In Your Coat Pocket, Flash Storage Can Survive Shaking, Touch Screen LCD For Navigation, IR Remote Control, External Mic Input, Supports SDHC Cards For Expansion, Nice Lens, Sub $900 Full-HD Camera, I'd like to thank, Samsung Canada, for sending this camera our way for the review. It was a go...
Cons: Digital Camera Has Noise All But Bright Light Photos, Slow Motion Is Time Limited (10 Second Clip at 1/8), Storage Setting Is Globally Internal or External
Excerpt: The VP-HMX20C is unique here thanks to its 1/1.8in sensor. This has almost three times the surface area of the Sony HDR-CX11E's 1/3in sensor, and over 11 times that of Panasonic's HDC-SD20. Bigger sensors capture more light and measure it more accurately, giving a significant boost to image quality.
Summary: Samsung has seriously upped its game with the arrival of this 1920x1080 flash-memory camcorder. The company can no longer be criticised for being competitive on price but not bringing anything new to the table in terms of design or features. The VP-HMX20 is a stylish piece of hardware with an 8GB flash memory and a 2.7in touchscreen LCD that helps make capturing movies a walk in the park.
Conclusion: To pierwsza kamera Full HD tego producenta.
