Summary: I have owned this thing for two or three years now, and it seems durable. I have been coast to coast with it two or three times and it always holds up well. The camcorder is good for the price, but the quality is not all that hot. The battery life is great though! The video quality is good but not great. This is probably due to being a 480i camera, not an HD camera. Still, it looks lower quality than other 480i cameras that I use.
scratch on lens, not disclosed, but works fine otherwise

Summary: Delivery was prompt. I have one(F40)just like this Red one so I knew what I'd be getting.I like the camera, battery life is @1-1/2 hr. less than my older one, which is great near 2 hrs. The Red(not new)camera works just fine, even though it has @quarter inch scratch on the lens, which made me not to happy. FULL disclosure would have been appreciated. I did not call the vendor or Amazon.
Summary: The camera is good. The image quality is fine. The pictures are not that good, the quality is bad. For some reason when I edit videos from this camera I can't get a good codec to handle the videos. I tried many softwares but still can't get a decent result. The menus on the camera are not user friendly (I'm a techky person). And the cursor button is hard to use. I don't really recommend it. I rather Sony cameras.
Summary: With the price you really cannot complaint much. The quality is not that great, ok battery life, and it takes some time (3 seconds i think-that already frustrates me since i am a FAST person) for it to be off (i need to see it go off so that i will still have the battery power), but again, it is cheap! Good for casual camcorder users that are on a budget. Could deliver most functions decently, if not well.
Summary: I saw this camera here and i decided to buy it based on the reviews given. I made a bit of a mistake. I have had this camcorder for about a year now and I can say it doesnt live up to my expectations. On the package you get the f40 in, it says the battery life lasts up to 4 hours. this is not at all accurate. the first week i got this and fully charged it, I realized that it wasnt doing the 4 hours.
Summary: It's a pretty good camera. I bought a Sony Handycam, and it cost twice as much, but also sucked twice as much as any camera I've ever had. This SAMSUNG Camrcoder, i was told by the Samsung Help line, is adjustable, in the FOV, but that was a lie. That's the only disappointment. Sometimes a green dot appears on my recordings, but all & all, it's a good camera. Nice FOV, better than my $1000 HD canon camera's. And i shoots OK at night.
Summary: This product is a slight disappointment. It has no internal memory and no lighting. You have to buy a SD memory card in order to save anything. I am also very let down by the fact that the software that you use to download videos does not have an option to make DVDs from the movies. The main reason I wanted a video camera was so that I could make actual hard copies of the movies I recorded, but this camera does not allow you to do so.
