Summary: Very compact camera. The angle to record movies or take pictures is different from other cameras so you have to get used to it but it is more practical. The zoom work fine if it is not extended all the way. If it is extended all the way you have to use a tripod of the recording becomes shaky. It does have an internal battery not the typical AA or AAA size. Low light condition video is OK. Overall good camera.
Summary: My daughter bought this camera on an impulse for it's size, price and color. As I was looking for a "pocketable" video unit I borrowed it for a few days. For my purposes, and hers, it works quite well. The optical zoom is fast and smooth and the video quality is quite suitable as my interest is in essence and not detail and the vast majority of my shooting is family stuff.
Summary: I bought this camera during an amazon special ($100 with free 2-day shipping) almost 3 months ago. Yes it has some flaws, but for the price it's still a pretty cool little camera. The video quality is fine for making youtube videos or watching on a standard def tv. What also turned me on to this camera is the 10x optical zoom, which most "pocket/compact" camcorders around this price do not offer.
Summary: This device has proven VERY convenient to carry - in my pocket, in my car, almost anywhere I go. Still photos are quite good - comparable to or better than most cell-phone snapshots. While the video quality is marginally acceptable, it does NOT match the quality of high definition video footage taken with my SONY camcorder - which cost about ten times more than the Samsung.
Summary: I have purchased and tried every pocket video camcorder on the market and have returned them all. This is the only compact camcorder that takes really good videos, the zoom is great, the image stabilizer actually works, and it all around a great little video camcorder. My only complaint is I wish it was shaped small like the Kodak Playsport, so I could put it in my pocket. Aso, I would like to use it as a camera as well, but the pictures are not as clear as I like.
Summary: The Samsung SMX C20RN uses a SD card, or more perfectly, it uses an SDHC card up to 32 Gig( the upper limit of the SD card is 2 Gig).Out of the box, the 1.9 Megapixel Camera and "Camcorder" takes a little getting used to, but playing around is a lot of fun.You will have to remember that Samsung do not supply a card with the C20 model ( which has no on board memory), and you have to buy a card.
