Summary: I won't dwell upon the little things missing from such an inexpensive camcorder (viewfinder, for one). You expect to sacrifice some details when you strip a camcorder down to its bare essentials and sell it cheap (well, not really cheap but inexpensive).
While you won't get DV quality video, you will get acceptable quality as long as you understand that you're shooting in a highly compressed H264.
Excerpt: "...nice and as with all Samsung products it seems to list a heap of fancy features that are on the leading edge of technology. Reliability: I have had this camcorder for almost 6 months and am sorry to say that it has just been sent for repair for the second time due to a manufacturing fault (The LCD screen died). So I am going to say not very reliable at all but this is to be expected with leading edge technology I guess. Ease of use: At first not ...
Pros: Compact, convienient and fantastic picture quality
Summary: I did a lot of reading around before deciding to buy this camcorder (I was looking for a small easily used SD based machine for general 'stuff'). I bought it because of its acceptable video quality and cheap price (£139.99 at the time). It was up against the Panasonic SDR-S7 which was the chalk to this one's cheese as regard's form factor... I don't like to hold camcorders up to my face; I am 6'4" and get bored of shots of children's hair styles.
