Summary: While An improvement over my last camera, the version of this camera I received has this buzz on Audio. you'll probably need a dedicated Mic to get anything decent, but the audio jack on the back is either not for a mic, or requires a specific model that I am not aware of. Zoom is testy, and you'll need to mess with the settings to get best video quality--whcih is not reflected in that of the LCD monitor. Results will show differences than what you see on that screen.
Summary: I have had really good results with this camera and for the price it is worth having. the ease of transferring the video as files from the SD card to my iMac saves time and hassle. When the files are imported into iMovie they are automatically converted so iMovie can use them. The image stabilization works pretty well. Now that I have made some movies using this camcorder I have bumped up against a couple of limitations. 1. no mic input jack.
Summary: bought this camera in November 2009. within 3 months, the camera would not recognize a battery. i bought a new battery, same thing. so, since it was out of the labor warranty, i had to send it back to Samsung and they replaced the battery mechanism for $40. they customer service was very good. the camera takes good movies, not great. sometimes they would be jumpy when recording to the flash memory.
Summary: I had purchased this item on 30 Mar and it arrived upon the 31st! Now I ask you, is that service or is that, service? (5 Stars) Camera had arrived with all items advertised and in excellent condition. After only a few short minutes, this camera was fully charged and ready to go. Found it exceedingly easy to use and the video quality with the audio is outstanding.
Summary: This camcorder has many interesting features, shoots pretty good video for its price range, and a battery with reasonable shooting time. It is designed primarily for use with a computer, and has limited connections available. Included are cables to get USB and composite video out. No Firewire, RGB, or S-video connections are available. This camcorder is designed specifically for the mobile, computer-based video user, and has "You Tube friendly" tags in several places.

Summary: The video camer Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder is easy to use and seems to be working fine --however --BEWARE -the Cyberlink Media software that comes with the camcorder it is NOT working properly - we have to buy additional video editing software which will cost around $69.99 -- and there is no way to contact the software people. If you read reviews about the software - they are HORRIBLE. So google the sofware before you buy this camcorder.
Summary: Overall I liked the camera. The design is simple, feels good in the hand. It uses an SD card to handle the storing of video that you record. Easy playback on the video screen. There is no view-finder, which is, for obvious reasons, becoming unnecessary. As mentioned by other posters, the widescreen and anamorphic representations pose a problem when playing back the video on YouTube or your own computer. I noticed this as the video was stretched.
Summary: If you're looking for a simple, low-cost camcorder with some modern features, you certainly could consider the Samsung MX-20. It's tapeless, which is a cool feature. It's compact - at least by camcorder standards. It's marketed as "YouTube Friendly." If posting videos on YouTube is your goal then I suppose this camera would do the trick.
