All Depends What You use It For

Summary: I've had this camera for about a year. At First I thought it was a great deal for 160. But, after 6 months, i started to realize it wasn't worth it to me. I think it is more worth 50. I film mostly just time lapse, effects, and many action sports. like skateboarding. It still works amazing for 160. But then i bought a wide angles lens. It distorted the image and made anything moving somewhat quickly blurry as can be. I used Sony Vegas 9 to edit with.
Summary: This product has a good name attached to it, it is easy to carry and use, but the quality of the recordings were poor and I returned it because I needed it to zoom in closer and not show lines. It may have been that I just got a defective product, I am not sure. my service was excellent with the shipping, timely reciept of product, friendly and helpful when I had to call about the return of the product and I will consider purchasing from you again.
Summary: I bought this video camera for my daughters big 15th birthday party. I tested it a few times for the party recording some short clips and all looked well. The video was a decent quality, the sound was good. It looked nice on my 32" HDTV. Unfortunately all was NOT well. Any clip over approx. 5 minutes would drop frames, but continue to record sound...
Summary: Used it for four months and gone also for video editing with Pinnacle Studio 12 up to burning to DVD and watching on LCD TV. While shooting, I have loved its light weight, battery life, use of SDMMC, good quality of the display panel and small power adaptor for battery charge. At the same time I have felt the zoom speed is too fast and not controllable, I usually start some recording from zoom-in details - e.g. a flower - and I slowly zoom out while panning - e.g.
Summary: The camcorder works really well, but the video is encoded to h264. This gives all sorts problems when editing. The supplied editor is really no good. The standard practice is to convert h264 to mpeg2 before editing. For a cheap camcorder it would have been infinately better to encode in mpeg2 in the first place. This would need 4gb of memory for each hour of video. As each tape for mini dv is for one hour then this would seem to be sufficient. Shame about the encoding..
Excerpt: "...ever laid eyes upon. The Samsung VP MX20 looks like Samsung were trying to make a dildo range, got about half way down the length and decided to turn it into a video camera instead. And then there's the stupid YouTube advert on the side. I can't see why I should have to walk around advertising YouTube when I'm not getting paid for it. == Function == It definitely didn't excel here either. The image quality is pretty poor and it only has a pathetic ...
