Not Worth It

Summary: I purchased this camera in March of 2009 and rarely used it. The battery dies very quickly. It came to the point where you could charge the battery all day and the camera wouldn't turn on. I actually threw this camera out in the trash last month. It was lousy. The picture quality was okay but not that impressive either. Fairly user friendly but due to the crummy battery, price of the camera, and how little I used the camera I would never recommend it to anyone.
Summary: After owning this camera for a year, I can give a realistic review. I bought it for occasional video aimed towards school use with students, and YouTube uploads. The video quality is decent, and the camera is easy to use. On that score, all is well. Also, the internal memory is sufficient to record a surprising amount of video. I have never needed more than the camera has built in, so far.
Summary: I must say that I was very displeased with this camcorder. I bought it with the intention of using it to record action videos of horses and dogs that I train. The video on the camcorder screen looks great, but to bring it up on a computer screen or a TV screen shows how poor the quality is. The video is grainy and the object that is in motion is jumpy and blurred, even in the sport/action and super fine settings.
Summary: I bought this and it worked great. For about 5 months, then the main computer in it went out and I found out it would cost around $300 to get it fixed. I know that the one I got could have just been a fluke, but I won't be buying another one. The only reason it got 2 stars instead of 1 is because it really was an easy to use, nice camcorder.
Summary: I've had this camera for about a year. At First I thought it was a great deal for 160. But, after 6 months, i started to realize it wasn't worth it to me. I think it is more worth 50. I film mostly just time lapse, effects, and many action sports. like skateboarding. It still works amazing for 160. But then i bought a wide angles lens. It distorted the image and made anything moving somewhat quickly blurry as can be. I used Sony Vegas 9 to edit with.
Summary: I bought this camera on a sale on Black Friday, i was hoping to get a camcorder that would be easy to handle, and perform well in different lighting situations. (an issue that I have with my current digital camera) It fits well in your hand and is easy enough to use. Upon testing it I quickly discovered that the image quality is absolutely terrible even on the highest quality setting. It not so much the sharpness or the focus; it's the interlacing.
Summary: This product has a good name attached to it, it is easy to carry and use, but the quality of the recordings were poor and I returned it because I needed it to zoom in closer and not show lines. It may have been that I just got a defective product, I am not sure. my service was excellent with the shipping, timely reciept of product, friendly and helpful when I had to call about the return of the product and I will consider purchasing from you again.
Summary: Extremely light and easy to use. Very plasticky with a kind of a cheap feel. Cool colors that attract comments. Picture is very substandard compared to both a point-and-shoot camera and cameras costing $100 more. Colors are blah, picture contrast is low, artifacts and noise galore. Impossible to prevent shake. My kids loved using it and didn't seem to care about the picture quality issues.
Terrible video quality, critical flaw in aspect ratio

Summary: This camera is extremely disappointing. The most important point I want to make is that I own a Canon Powershot SD1100is point and shoot camera which also takes video, and the video quality is far better than this camera. I wasted over $200 on this video camera and I could have used the camera I've already got that takes better quality video. The other major flaw, that many people have pointed out, is that the wide screen video is not really wide screen.
Summary: I bought this video camera for my daughters big 15th birthday party. I tested it a few times for the party recording some short clips and all looked well. The video was a decent quality, the sound was good. It looked nice on my 32" HDTV. Unfortunately all was NOT well. Any clip over approx. 5 minutes would drop frames, but continue to record sound...
