Summary: I was very excited to get a product that would take some abuse. So far so good but buyers beware. even after researching as much as I thought I should, no where was there any indication that the camcorder used anything other than a SD memory card.
Summary: So far this camera has been fine, I can't believe for the price it didn't at least come with a small memory card. Transferring pictures to a computer works better with a USB Patch cord instead of plugging it into a usb port directly.
Summary: I got this camcorder because while I was researching to replace my flip touch HD (or something like that) and saw that this one was waterproof up to 10 ft (3m) and shock resistant up to 6.5 ft (2m) and liked that it had 1080p (or full HD) and the rugged design.
Summary: Excellent easy to use product with outstanding HD video but the software is difficult to use and confusing.....would recommend as the pricing is inexpensive based on the quality of the device.
To me it's old reliable-- it's a good backup outdoor camera

Summary: I've had this camera for about 5 years. To me it's old reliable-- it's a good backup outdoor camera. The camera has been very durable, and easily fits in a regular-sized pocket. The picture is good, but not great. The zoom is very weak. Audio is decent. I've also filmed underwater to about 10 feet.
Summary: We purchased this unit and a Kodak equivalent similar size and features unit. Of the two, the Samsung appears to take slightly better pictures, with great video quality. Taking pictures or videos underwater and switching from camera to video mode requires a few extra steps with the Samsung.
Great for the price, waterproof above expectations

Summary: This camera survived multiple accidental immersion while I went overboard with it into saltwater (sailing). It then worked fine, captured quality footage, and remained in my wet pocket for hours.
