Summary: I used underwater a couple of times, the photos came out o.k. But i took it up to take pictures of some big waves on the north shore of Oahu and the thing got condensation on the inside after an hour! Sucks!
Leaks, takes terrible pictures and video stability is poor

Summary: This is a rather disappointing product which does not do what it says on the tin. Mine leaked after just a few minutes swimming at less than 2 feet depth, the seawater caused the USB connector and release mechanism to rust, the only way I could then get my footage off was to get a micro-SD convertor and put the card in that.
Summary: Pretty bummed out by this garbage camcorder. Got it as a gift and was excited to shoot some HD video to use online. Unfortunately I waited too long to open it and the warranty had expired (yes that was my bad). By the time I got around to testing it out, I found the focus completely non-functional. It was like anti-HD ... everything terribly blurry. When I contacted Samsung they said I could send it in for repair at a cost of $105. Um no thanks.
Summary: We purchased this camera for an upcoming trip to Hawaii and wanted to be able to video the great reefs as we snorkeled. On the second use the camera died and we missed some amazing photos/video opportunities. The door mechanism apparently leaked and shorted the camera. Had to purchase another camera for the rest of our vacation. Very dissappointing!
Summary: Camera was not too shabby until I decided to snorkel with it. Okay, so I am not about to think that a camera this cheap can have significant waterproof capabilities...however I felt obligated to write the review to give a warning. After my experience and especially after reading others with the exact same scenario, I have to believe there is some sort of manufacturing flaw going on here. Same story for me. I tried it out in a pool, no problem.
Summary: I bought this camera for the waterproof capabilities, nothing else. I know a lot about photography having 15 high end digital cameras, and one exceptional Canon video camera, and over 30 years experience but none are waterproof, so this was a pleasant surprise. We took this to Aruba to video our twin 18 month old daughters on the beach and in the pool.
Summary: Reviews I read online were pretty consistent: out of the box = excited, used it a little bit = not happy. If you are looking to buy a disposable camera for a short vacation, this is OK. If you expect it to work two months down the road, keep shopping. We used ours sparingly. Now we get a yellow light when charging but will not power on. Used in underwater, in swimming pool, once for a very short time. There is signs of water leakage in the USB connector area.
