Beautiful to look at and hold but I have reservations with compatibility

Summary: I have taken quite a long time before reviewing this camera because I wanted to test various scenarios. Firstly, I love the look of this camera and the feel of it from an ergonomic standpoint. It's like driving a nice car ... where dials and controls are right within reach of most hands. I have a pretty large hands for a woman and the camera feels good and I have not been reaching for any buttons that would cause strain or such.
Summary: I've been using this camcorder for a few months now. I like to have a good history with an electronic before I review it, given that I've prematurely reviewed other items and had to come back and change the entire review. One of the most important criteria for a camcorder is how good it captures video. This does a very good job and is vastly superior to my old school mini-dv's. While the video is great, I find the pictures to be lacking for my taste.
Summary: I was looking for a high def camcorder at a large retailer that didn't break the bank but did provide a good quality high def picture. The salesman steered me to the Samsung model. I thought the shape was great and it had all the features I wanted (touch screen controls, full 1080 'P'rogressive video, and I loved the swivel handle) so I looked for it at Amazon the day before cyber Monday. They had it at a great price and most reviews were four stars so I ordered it.
Summary: Excellent video camera. Better in daylight. Enough good in poor light. I experience the best quality if i dont use the zoom. If i forget my memory card, i have the internal ssd. I wolud like to see in the future a camera that i dont have to open something to connect the charger and the rest of the cables, because i feel that the jack cover is going to break someday soon. Pic quality is excellent!!! Software is enough good.
Summary: I bought this camera to take pictures of my daughter who was just recently born. I love every aspect of the video it takes. The digital pics aspect is nothing great and would leave that to my canon powershot camera. The only other poor aspect is I guess the battery life which is just OK. I would buy this camera again hands down. I love the Solid state disk drive and the ease of finding prior videos.
overall a great little camcorder with a few weaknesses

Summary: This camcorder takes good quality video (when the lighting is sufficient, of course, something that is apparently true of all camcorders in and below this price range), is easy to use, and it fits my (extra-large glove sized) hand and palm perfectly. The unique handgrip is very comfortable and it makes it easier to hold the camera relatively steadily at various angles, including with my arm stretched out above my head.
Summary: HMX-H104 have equipped SSD (Solid-State Drive) for the first time in the world. It supports 1920x1080i Full HD based on 1/4.5 inch CMOS sensor. In addition, it has 180° rotating full angle grip and easy-to-use built-in software Intelli-studio. It is a home camcorder with various high-quality features. HMX-H104 doesn't follow the trend. It's rather leading the trend a few steps ahead. For the first time in camcorder history, it adopted SSD (Solid State Drive) memory.
Summary: The 4 and 5 star reviews point out the positives of this camcorder, but there are some real negatives. The main issue is the inability to play the .mp4 files created by this camera (for many users). What good are the files if you cannot play them on a PC? The codec used by Samsung is not a standard one, and that makes me concerned that the precious memories captured by this camera may be unplayable 10 years from now. That is a deal breaker for me.
