Summary: The HMXH100 is the first camcorder I have ever owned or used. I love the quality of the HD videos and the microphone picks up very well for a simple built-in device. I did make a little padded elastic band to go around the lens to supppress wind noise when recording ourdoors. A jack for an external mic would have been nice.
Summary: I'am really pleased with my Samsung. It very competive with sony and Canon in the same price range. I got mine on Ebay so I got a lot of bang for the buck. You can do pro stuff on this not much but if you know what your doing it will fill that niche where you need HD but simple forest, downtown or well lit home.
Great HD Camcorder for the Price! Totally beats my Sony Webbie!

Summary: For the price, this little camcorder can't be beat! It has almost everything my Webbie had, but with even more! I love everything about this camcorder, except the fact that the battery meter is weird at times, you have to render your video with a video editing program such as Sony Vegas in order to have a good quality video to upload to YouTube, otherwise, your video will be entirely letter-boxed, and, even though it says "Full HD" on the camcorder itself, it's really...
Summary: Camcorder works excellent. Outdoor video and photos are very good. Indoor can be very good if you use external light source. Very grainy if you do not. On the whole I am very pleased. Received very quickly from seller. Very pleasant experience. Would recommend product and seller highly.
Summary: Most of the reviews I've read here are accurate. It's a feature-rich, compact video camera with a good lens and focus for the price of many simpler Flip-style fixed-focus cameras. Great value. I especially love the time-lapse feature, which I use to document building projects. I found it on a competing site as a refurbished unit with full warranty from manufacturer for under $200, but the Amazon price is great too.
Summary: I made the mistake of reading the reviews on Amazon in which several of them mentioned working with this camera and their Mac. I also assumed that since it was MPEG-4, iMovie would play fairly nice with it. However, if you check Apple's list of approved camcorders, this one is not shown and that's a pretty accurate assessement.
Summary: I was looking at the Canon HF200/100 camera and Flip HD when I saw this one at Christmas time at $299. I wasn't sure about the quality but Costco does have a 90 day return policy so I bought it there. Overall, it's a good camera for the price. I think the pictures are clear when played back on an HD TV. Unfortunately, I couldn't play it back, let alone edit on my five year old Intel Pentium PC so I will probably break down and buy the new Core i5 Intel PC.
Summary: I am getting in film production and needed something on the low end of HD. I went with the Samsung because I have a lot of their products and am quite pleasured with the quality and life. The camera is pretty good, n fact darn near impressive in natural day light. The images are super clear and crisp, especially greens. Inside is another story, if you have a lighting kit, it works perfect, but seeing that most of you wont have one, the images can get a bit grainy.
Summary: PRODUCT IS GREAT SALES TAX WAS SUPRISING BUT ALL IS OK I WOULD USE AGAIN I JUST DID NOT LIKE THA TAX SURPRISE AT THE END OF CHECK OUT IF I KNEW IN THE BEGINING I WOULD OF USED COMPUTER GEEKS THEY DONT CHARGE SALE TAX BUT A IS OK
Summary: As others have mentioned, the video stabilization doesn't work all that well. Picture quality and battery life are fine. The touchscreen and menu options take a little getting used to, but once you're familiar it's pretty easy. Best feature is value for your money.
