Summary: Most of the reviews I've read here are accurate. It's a feature-rich, compact video camera with a good lens and focus for the price of many simpler Flip-style fixed-focus cameras. Great value. I especially love the time-lapse feature, which I use to document building projects.
Summary: I made the mistake of reading the reviews on Amazon in which several of them mentioned working with this camera and their Mac. I also assumed that since it was MPEG-4, iMovie would play fairly nice with it.
Summary: Bought this camera to film my military life for my blog. I like for the price the features it comes with. Although I wish it had night vision, and I don't see much difference between 720p and 1080i recording, nor do I see much difference between "fine" and "superfine" recording settings.
Pros: Small size. Uses SDHC memory. Decent Features.
Cons: HD features. Battery power. Filming in low-light settings.
Summary: in retrospect I wish it had a longer battery life, and did hardware encoding to Divx. Also you have to encode the video to watch it on a regular tv. The video will only play in high def off the camera.
Pros: Hi def video, easy to use, small light, it acctually fits in my shirt pocket. Does 4.7( i think) photos, which is a lot better than most of the compatibles at the same price range.
Cons: It has a few querks, it doesn't come with any software. The CD's have the user manual on them. I have just been converting the video to divx and they work great. Battery life is much lower than expected, but I haven't had a video cam since my old VHS video cam.
Great HD Camcorder for the Price! Totally beats my Sony Webbie!

Summary: For the price, this little camcorder can't be beat! It has almost everything my Webbie had, but with even more! I love everything about this camcorder, except the fact that the battery meter is weird at times, you have to render your video with a video editing program such as Sony Vegas in order to...
Summary: I was looking at the Canon HF200/100 camera and Flip HD when I saw this one at Christmas time at $299. I wasn't sure about the quality but Costco does have a 90 day return policy so I bought it there. Overall, it's a good camera for the price.
Summary: This is a great camcorder.....great picture and lightweight....make sure you use the remote to get the best out of playback.....the slow speed playback is just what I needed to examine my son's pop warner football games.
Summary: As others have mentioned, the video stabilization doesn't work all that well. Picture quality and battery life are fine. The touchscreen and menu options take a little getting used to, but once you're familiar it's pretty easy. Best feature is value for your money.
Samsung HMX-H100 HD Flash Memory Camcorder with10x Optical Zoom
Cliff Dearing, Amazon
26 June 2009
Summary: My biggest shock was how tiny this thing is. Just 5 inches long! It takes GREAT video...even in standard definition. As mentioned in many other reviews, it leaves a little to be desired in low light conditions but there's a solution to that...don't shoot in low light or get more lights!
Summary: I picked this camera up at Fry's, but a model with built-in SSD, to shoot my sister's wedding last minute. My favorite things, after trying a fistful of HD camcorders: - Fantastic image. Quality of video rivals Canon. - Hands down the BEST anti-shake feature I've seen in this price range.
