Summary: Took (4) 10 minute video clips over the course of a day; 1. Program to sync videos IS NOT COMPATIBLE with MAC OSX (Or any kind of mac - all the programs run through .exe) 2. NO FLASH??? Seems Legit. You can't use this at night. 3. Videos were blurry with camera stationary on my fireplace recording my daughters playing Just Dance for Wii. 4. FOCUS does not work AT ALL!!!!!!! This feature is BROKEN!!!!!!!! 5. Smart Feature - smart feature?
Summary: This package was purchased for my church. The camera is rather cheap plastic. There is no way to connect an external mic. The tripod is less than a toy. It is flimsy plastic and, extended, it isn't even 5' high. Even if money is tight, this is not a good purchase.
Summary: Yes the package comes with extra stuff, but the camera itself is a piece of crap. It records at 60p. You've heard of 1080p, 720p, well this little jewel cranks out video at 1/12 the clarity of a 720p movie. If that's what you're looking for then knock yourself out. The video is so grainy, you don't even need to transfer it to a big screen to see it. How can crap like this be marketed as HD?
Excerpt: Too used to the Sony. Granted the cost is less, but you do get what you pay for here. Quality is just not there. Picture is too high contrast out of the camera. Not very impressive HD either. I most likely will return this camera.
Summary: I ordered this camcorder as a refurbished model from Amazon. It takes great videos, but with a significant exception - no back lighting feature. So imagers with lights or sunlight is background creates a darkened subject. The real problem is with Samsung!!! First, when trying to register the camcorder, the didn't accept the serial number on the bottom of the camcorder : DOJ7040(Refurb) - said it had to be a 15 digit number.
Summary: I guess you get what you pay for. Zoom stinks, goes out of focus allot. You need to constantly play with the zoom button to get the focus back to a viewable state. And it is slow. I did notice it is good for a distance of about 15 to 75 feet. Don't try anything up close that is where the zoom has the most trouble. The picture is also a little grainy. Other than that it was a wonderful waste of my money.
