Summary: The package came with a bag that would hold a couple tubes of lipstick and I thought that was deceptive marketing when it states "deluxe bundle" I thought it would fit the camera. I sent a message to Amazon and the company it was shipped from but received no response.
Summary: I was incensed to find that this camera, which seems very nice and just what I was looking for, is NOT Mac-compatible! How can anything made in this day and age still be only for a PC?? This should be plainly stated in all the descriptions, I certainly didn't see it but then, it never occurred to me that it was going to be an issue! It connects to your computer via USB so why isn't it for everyone? Just ridiculous.
Summary: For this price, you surely cannot expect professional quality video output from this camcorder. But video shot in a normally lit room is grainy, with a red tinge, and quite frankly just unacceptable. Even my comparatively priced photo camera photo camera makes better video. This is not what I would expect from a dedicated video camcorder. Another annoyance is that the camcorder records not continuously, but in scenes of 20 minute length.
Summary: Got a good deal on this camcorder yesterday and it only took me a few vids to return. I own a few cameras and camcorders. Nothing very expensive. I bought this one hoping to replace my SDR-S50. I was bummed when the video quality wasn't really any better. I tried to tinker with all the settings and no luck. I guess there is a chance it might have had something wrong but didnt feel like trying another. Video was very grainy inside and just not HD quality.
Summary: For me, I had to choose between this camera and the Sony Handycam DCR-SX45. I initially ended up purchasing the former. At first, despite the flimsy feel it had, I was fairly content with my purchase, it was after all an HD camcorder which the Sony brand one was not. However I quickly discovered what other people meant when they talked about "wonky focusing." It takes forever to focus on moving subjects and sometimes even stationary subjects.
Summary: I didn't purchase this camera for any particular purpose. I just wanted something decent that I could use to capture life's random moments. After over a month of use, here are my pros and cons: PROS - The camera is simple to set up and use. I was recording video within 5 minutes of opening the box. - It is super compact and looks nice. - Price is great. CONS - Video quality is decent, but is no better (and probably worse) than most modern smart phone cameras.

Summary: I don't know, maybe it's the price point, but I was shocked at how bad the sound was. It was distant and muffled. You could hardly hear the person in front of the camera, and it sounded like you were listening to a stereo with just the sub-woofer on when the person taking the video talked. I called Samsung to see if there was some sound setting and was very disappointed by their service.
