Summary: The HD video is good, the size is good, the optical zoom ratio is amazing. Plan on maybe editing some sound onto a real quiet scene, as the zoom button makes enough noise to intrude--probably indicative of sensitive mic which is a good thing if you can leave the zoom alone. The resolution of the still images is poor by today's Point-And-Shoot camera standards, but probably as advertised in the literature.
Summary: The 32gb chip is what selaed this deal. Easy to use for taking pictures and video. The case that comes with it doesn't fit the best. It'll fit if you squeeze it in there, very tight and not the right fit. Overall the price for this bundle is a good deal in my opinion.
Summary: This camera came with two tripods: the small desk sized tripod and a full sized, retractable tripod. I also came with a carrying case, 32 GB flash memory card, cleaning kit, and a high speed reader/writer for uploading/downloading. I was very pleased, especially considering that most of the camcorders with the same features were priced the same without the equipment. Of course, as soon as I fired it up, no one in my family wants to be video-taped. Ah well.
Summary: I have mixed feelings about this camera. In good light or outdoors, it is fantastic. indoors,in low or even medium light, it just doesn't do it. If you are going to shoot indoor videos, make sure you have LOTS of light.
Summary: Got this for my kids for Christmas ( as well as the canopy protection plan as my kids are 10 and 12) so you know I'll be using that at some point in the next three years. Everything is as described in posting. Works great.
