Summary: Can't tell about picture or sound quality. Camera hasn't worked since I received it. Don't know about ease of use or battery life. Would have to say, Not much value for the money since it does not work.
Summary: I bought this camcorder in December of 2008 for about $250. It worked fine up until late 2011 when I would get the dreaded "disc is not compatible, please check the disc" message. Served me fine for 3 years as I recorded over 150 discs with it. The menu that you see on your TV screen after finalization could use improving. It's not very appealing compared to Canon's menus. This camcorder does excellent outside, but if you're shooting inside with low light, forget it.
Summary: Bought this as a gift for our son and his wife after the birth of their first child. Camera didn't last 6 months before they had problems with it. A signal kept coming up to "reset" it. After several attempts to reset it, they called the company and were told to send it in and they would diagnose to see if it would be replaced or repaired. They have heard nothing since sending it in. Called to inquire, left a message and heard nothing back.
Summary: The camera is great, especially at this price. However, since it is refurbished, it does not come in original panasonic box (at least, my camera did not come in the box). I gave this camera as a gift, and the presentation was dampered because I did not have the box. Other than that -- the camera is great. It is easy to use, and small enough to fit in a purse.
Summary: The price was great and the item looks awesome. I am giving it as a christmas gift so i have not used it yet, but it looks great and came with everything i needed. Does not come with a manual, but it is available online for free!
