Fortunately, I still had one from the previous camera

TexsProud69, Amazon

  • Summary: It is exactly what I needed to replace my last one that died. The only thing missing was the cable that you use to view the video on a separate device. Fortunately, I still had one from the previous camera. For future purchases, that will have to be a detail to be careful about.

Dated, but still a great little camera!

Kenneth Marcum "Harley Man", Amazon

  • Summary: Great little camcorder from Panasonic. It is on the low end, and starting to show its age with all the new stuff coming out these days, but for the price, you can't beat it (it's a little expensive through Amazon, but you can find it for around $200 bucks or less elsewhere brand new).

Amazon

James Hampton, Amazon
9 November 2006
  • Summary: I like my new panasonic recorder (you might consider the next model up before you buy). What I would really like to review is the performance of Amazon. The first unit I bought performed marginally, so the first chance I got I exchanged it with Amazon.

From camera to DVD is great and serves its purpose for the price

Song Rose, Amazon
7 July 2006
  • Summary: I did a lot of research before buying this camera. We could have bought a higher quality digital camcorder for less or higher quality MiniDV camcorder for the same price. What led to our final decision to purchase this camcorder was the fact we could record straight to a 8cm DVD-R, finalize the disc...

Impressive

Anonymous, Newegg
10 June 2006
  • Summary: This is a really nice camcorder, with almost everything the average shooter will want. The image stabilization is amazing and helps out ALOT especially when in zoom. The quality is decent even at the lowest setting, although its only 17 minutes per disc with the best compression.
  • Pros: Small, light, long battery life, lcd, high pass audio filter (wind), compatible with dvd-r/w, 30x optical zoom, EIS.
  • Cons: No night shot, alittle noisy in dark shots, highest quality recording is only 17 minutes per disc, no software for editing, loading times are a bit annoying with the disc at times as well as slightly buzzy occasionally when reading or writing to disc.

Picture Is Fine Also Imports Into Vegas Movie Studio Platinum

21 February 2006
  • Summary: The picture is fine at this price. I bought the Panasonic VDR-D100 for my daughter because she usually doesn't want to do anything with the computer like edit video. When we gave it to her the first thing she asked was, "can I edit the movies?

  • Summary: We bought this camera June 2006 just before our baby was born. Brilliant easy to use machine - have had no problems whatsoever. My Dad was very up on his electronic gadgets and was very impressed with this. Very easy to record and erase stuff. Great zoom and good sound too.
