Fortunately, I still had one from the previous camera

TexsProud69, Amazon
18 July 2014
  • Summary: It is exactly what I needed to replace my last one that died. The only thing missing was the cable that you use to view the video on a separate device. Fortunately, I still had one from the previous camera. For future purchases, that will have to be a detail to be careful about. We were worried that we would never get to see the videos from our daughter's early years...so glad I checked Amazon.

Super great camcorder for the price. High quality and easy to use. AA++++

  • Summary: I LOVE THIS CAMCORDER. I am not technologically savy, so I wanted a camcorder that was really easy to use. It is my first one of this kind so I had to get used to first, finding the right DVD's for it, and second how to finalize the DVD to be able to play it directly on the DVD player. This camcorder is super easy to use, and if you set it on extended play, even the 30 minute mini DVD will last you 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Dated, but still a great little camera!

  • Summary: Great little camcorder from Panasonic. It is on the low end, and starting to show its age with all the new stuff coming out these days, but for the price, you can't beat it (it's a little expensive through Amazon, but you can find it for around $200 bucks or less elsewhere brand new). I read a review that says you can not edit your videos...

  • Summary: Great little camcorder from Panasonic. It is on the low end, but for the price, you can't beat it. I read a review that says you can not edit your videos... Well, I have had two of these cameras for a couple years now, and I have no problem editing my videos via Corel VideoStudio Pro X2 right on my computer. Very professional looking too!

The SD Useability Misnomer

UART "HardAnalyst", Amazon
6 August 2011
  • Summary: I'll be quick: Everyone else covered everything else about it so... Major drawback is that this palmcorder will not record motion video straight onto the SD Card at all; it only saves the still pictures (VDR-D200) taken by it onto the SD. What a major bummer and Panasonic should be 'spanked' for this one while charging the consumers a FORTUNE for it! I for one would prefer a USB palmcorder with SD backup option. This is a trick-camera for magician actors! BOOOOH!!

  • Summary: The product was excellent and I have no problems at all. I would order it again and recommend it to my friends if they were looking for a camera or Palmcorder. This has been a really good experience for me.

Panasonic lowest-end DVD camcorder

ish4545, Ebay
22 August 2010
  • Summary: It lacks all the features that you typically miss in the entry-level models – a 2.5” rather than 2.7” LCD, and there is no still media card because the camcorder doesn’t take stills. This is definitely Panasonic lowest-end DVD. Pro: 30x optical zoom, great manual controls, quick start, battery life, image stabilization Con: bad lcd viewfinder, no software for editing, no still features, no night shot

Thorn in my side!

BrinaRJ, Amazon
16 June 2010
  • Summary: This video camera was a gift from my mother-in-law. For 3 years I have been trying to decifer/troubleshoot how to make copies of the disks onto the computer and then to DVD's. I read the manual through and through, nothing. I called Panasonic and a non-English speaking man with bad reception walked me through some things. I was then told that software came with my camera in order to copy and make the DVD's.
