Great product! Have yet to use mine yet, but my son has the same camera.

Summary: Have yet to use product. My son has the same camera and we use them for wildlife video. Great zoom and clarity. Look forward to using mine. Great tool for hunting . Works so much better for long range than the HD models.
Summary: My wife bought this for my as a Christmas present. I love it. I left my old camera home and took my new camera only. It did well in all modes and for a first time user it was very forgiving. All you have to do is take your time setting it up correctly and it will do the rest for you. We love it and all of our Panasonic electronics..They rock.
Summary: I thought I would be able to live with SD quality, after all half my channels aren't HD. I was surprised how poorly the SD images play on an HD screen. I tried the highest quality of video, playing to either the internal memory or SD card, and outside good light videos. Nothing made a difference. The camera is easy to use, but disappointing for picture quality.
Summary: I'm generally pleased with this purchase; however, at this time, I have not hit upon the combination of settings that will yield as good a picture quality as I currently have with my Sony Handicam. I need to determine the optimal settings since I purchased this video camera to replace the Sony. I'd be glad to receive any suggestions as to how I can attain optimal quality while using this video camera to record church services from a balcony in the rear of the sanctuary.
As good a camcorder as can be acquired ...and at one-half the price!

Summary: Needed a really efficient, but economical, camcorder for my good friends who were about to have their first child. After surveying and examining multiple units, we decided that this unit: used an SD-type memory card that is reasonably priced; had excellent dependability ratings; had long-life battery commendations; had all the necessary lens options; had easily accessible controls; and possessed every function to satisfy a first-time user.
Summary: We haven't used this a lot since we have purchased it, but just in fiddling around with the zoom and the sound and the still shots - We are very pleased. The only thing that would be better, is if the battery lasted longer. It lasts about 40 minutes. To buy the extended life battery is about another $60-$70 dollars. I would recommend this product to anyone asking me.
Summary: I had checked out several camcorders. This one seemed to be what I needed to video my interests. Like most new items like cameras, I-pods, cell phones, you need to be part of the young crowd coming up with computers, etc. I'm near 76 years old. I have done fine with film cameras and camcorders, but I have yet to transfer what I have recorded, as I await one of the young members of the family to sit down and show me how to see all that I have shot so far.
