Easy and nice.

tegacay1, Ebay

  • Summary: A very nice camcorder. It was a gift for my daughter and then i inherit it because the panel where the pictures does not tilt all the way so you could not record yourself and see yourself at the same time. But it is ok, it zooms very nicely and above all it is easy to use. For the money it was a great value for people like me that does not record so often and when they do it becomes an easy task.

Panasonic SDR-SW20 Camera

  • Summary: Seems to work very well. Good optical zoom range and pretty good capture in lower light levels. Haven't taken it into the water yet but mostly wanted it to use if rainy or foggy.

LOVE IT!!!

  • Summary: Look, this is a very "fun", portable, waterproof video camera, and we have gotten some great clips in the past 17 mos. using it...ABSOLUTELY no regrets! This is NOT a high-quality still camera, a camera that was designed for making motion pictures, or even commercial quality videos. It's a great little video camera that you will get your moneys worth out of, just watching people's expression when you "drop it" in the water!

Great camera, I thoroughly enjoy it.

  • Summary: Many reviews have berated the video quality of this camcorder but I have no complaints. If you are big on videos and buying new video cameras every 1-2 years then you might complain about the quality. However I find the video quality good since the last camcorder we owned was from the late 90's and used tapes. This camera is very easy to use and I've had nothing but compliments from people who have seen me using it.

Good for the use ans money

E. Beyer, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this to use at the pool and with ATV's. At the pool it works fine in the water and out. I'm still waiting to use it off-road. The software sent with it takes some getting used to, and the video is not recorded in MPEG and must be converted with the supplied software. A hassle, but it works. It is tough and waterproof, and that is what I needed.

awesome

  • Summary: This thing is awesome. Just got back from vacation and it worked great. Since I got it just before vacation, I figured out how to work it on the plane. (very simple). No problem under water in the ocean, in the air parasailing, on dune buggies and at the beach. I really put it to the test. I bought it because it is so rugged and waterproof. Went beyond my expectations. The only downfall I found is downloading video on the computer.

Good camera for children

  • Summary: I found the black version of this product by chance at a Duty Free Shop in Sao Paulo, listed at 750 USD, before a trip to the US. Once there, we weren't able to find it at any brick&mortar shop (BestBuy, now defunct CircuitCity, etc.) in the greater Miami area but many of Amazon's shops did carry it. My 11-year old daughter wanted a digital camera but I had been procrastinating...

Waterproof Panasonic SDR-SW20

D. Collins, Amazon
22 December 2008
  • Summary: I've used the camcorder for a couple of weeks now, and I like it. Some reviews I'd read spoke of poor video quality, and it's not great, but it's good. I haven't had it in the water yet, but it did fall out of my truck to the pavement once, and it survived that. The fact that they recommend sending the unit in every 18 months to repack the waterproofing bothers me since I found that out AFTER purchase. So far, I'm happy with the camcorder.

Panasonic SDR-SW20 Waterproof Camcorder

Peter6615, Rate it all!
2 December 2008
  • Summary: The Panasonic SDR-SW20 Waterproof camcorder fits in you palm and is real easy to use and very versatile...especially with its ability to not have water affect it...after losing several sony camcorders to rain. However, make sure you know that the computer you are using is 8 years or older, it may not have an appropriate video card to view the video. I was able to put a new video card in my computer, for $50.
