Summary: The 80gb hard drive is useless to me since this camcorder does not record video to its own hard disk. It keeps on bringing up the black screen with "NO CARD". Also the "NO DATA" screen is repeated often and is brought up in an unpredictable manner. The data is there, but it keeps on bringing this glitch of "NO DATA" and "NO CARD". After inserting a compatible SDHC card, the bad news is, it won't record even to an SD card!
Summary: This camcorder fails on video quality horribly. I do not recommended this camera to anyone. It's too expensive and the only good feature it's the 80gb hard drive; everything else fails due to poor quality.
Summary: This camcorder is nice and compact, and that is about the only good thing about it! We were watching videos from a year ago on our TV, and the inside as well the outside videos were HORRIBLE! I would understand if the inside ones had been taken at night and not enough light, but it was in the middle of the day in a very bright room. Same thing outside, just terrible quality! Wish I could send it back, but it's too late now...
Summary: I had a very bad experience with this panasonic camcorder. I don't know if the product was defective or all the hard disk drive (HDD)camcorder are so pathetic. I was very excited to buy my first HDD camcorder but it turned out very soar. The camcorder was very slow, used to always hang up as if it is drunk. It never recorded on the in built hard drive. I had to return the product and now I will never buy a HDD camcorder.
