Great for the money

Roger the Consultant, Amazon
4 May 2012
  • Summary: My Sony is getting old and I didn't want to lose the ability to play my mini DV tapes. Got this camcorder and like it lots. Image quality is fine for my needs. Great zoom range and the anti shake works well. Have not tried (and don't really care) about super low light or HD.

This is my third camera in the series

LD, Amazon
21 March 2012
  • Summary: I still use the first two from 2002 and 2007. I love the mini DV tape models. I actually bought this one because not only am I still using them on vacations, I use them to create DVDs I can play on my TV. After editing in Final Cut Pro, I pass through the camcorder to a DVD recorder to burn the DVD. I did not want to get orphaned, so I really bought this unit as a back up. It does have a higher zoom but a weaker low light record.

terrible

rasafrat, Amazon

  • Summary: This camcorder was complete garbage. After a few uses it began suffering the "Press Reset Button" plague. I did some research an apparently a lot of Panasonic camcorders have the same problem.

what I was looking for

joexps, Ebay
18 May 2010
  • Summary: I needed a camcorder that has a lot of manual controls to override the auto settings. I help baseball players swings has they hit the ball. The new HD camcorders don't come close.

"Excellent minidv camcorder."

davewegner, CNET
14 January 2010
  • Pros: Optical image stabilization, 40x optical zoom, clear stereo microphone, bright LCD view panel (even in sunlight), quick cold boot to record time, well placed controls.
  • Cons: Included battery doesn't last long, power dial is a bit too easy to turn when unwanted, those with big hands (me) might accidentally press unwanted buttons, retractable tunnel viewfinder is small, manual focus slow in low light.

A bargain price for a Palmcorder

bertenglebert, Ebay
22 December 2009
  • Summary: I bought this a week or so ago. I am quite happy with this gadget. Again it has one touch navigational button for play, rewind, fast forward and stop. It is indeed a plus having a 42x, with optical zoom and most especially that it has this advance O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilization)and easy to reach O.I.S. button for when ever I need to use it when I am moving around. The menu button is accessible too.

Panasonic PV-GS90 Camcorder Review

Duc M. Ly "Electronics Fan", Amazon
27 June 2009
  • Summary: Panasonic PV-GS90 MiniDV Camcorder with 42x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom I have purchased the Panasonic PV-GS90 from Big Value Inc. through amazon.com and the product is pretty good for the price. I have had Panasonic Camcorder (the PV type) before. If you are a MiniDV tape fan, this product is a good choice. Like other reviews, I expects this product to perform minimum picture quality when taping inside my house. I was right!

Amazing Father's Day Gift!!

Glenda Miller, Amazon
7 June 2009
  • Summary: My sister and I purchased this for my dad and he absolutely loves it! I haven't been able to steal it away from him, but everything looks okay. We live out in the country, so he's always out making videos of wildlife; he even takes it on his fishing trips. Hands down, the best gift we've ever gotten him!
