  • Excerpt: Overall this is a reasonable quality camera with some useful functions. At the price it is near the lower end of the camcorder market but still provides the necessary functions to take a good move. The camera has a main video option and a stills option.
  • Pros: Small, useable, light weight
  • Cons: Lacks some finer points, stills option is useless .

  • Excerpt: I was looking forward to receiving this camcorder to replace a Canon MV400i. I thought that being a newer model and carrying the Panasonic name the performance would be much better but I was very disappointed.
  • Pros: Compact, well made .
  • Cons: Very poor low light performance, black and white view finder

Panasonic NV-DS65B is slightly flawed genius

G Randle "randleog2", Amazon
8 February 2004
  • Summary: This on the face of it seems to be a lot of camera for not too many sponds. The first thing you notice taking it out of the box is the sheer volume of separate components,(leads, remote and wire controls, AV connection etc.

  • Pros: Small, compact
  • Cons: when taking still picture using the SD card, the pixel quality is poor

  • Summary: I had an opportunity to use NV-DS65 for about a month and could experience it in bright sun, dark, rain, in-out doors. I am a regular camcorder user from shooting to burning CD with special effects.

tanya barrashill, Amazon

  • Summary: when i first saw this camcorder i thought wow, because the price was great and it had dv input and out. now thats good because a photographer told me that a camcorder with dv in and out would cost around about 700 to £800 at least, and i am not exagerating.
