Summary: ** Pros: ** 1) Mounting on tripod side by side with Canon SX1 IS in Hwai Ang Sibu church (a bit dim light condition), TA1 outperform SX1 IS. 2) File size is small 2.8 GB per 30 min clips, quality is good ( for still scenes, mounted with tripod) 3) Small size, easy to carry, good audio, light weight, etc. ** Cons: ** 1) 1080p can't used when taking clips while walking or moving (fast), the clips will have lots of square blocks. 2) No EV + / - adjust.
Summary: I bought this only because I got a good deal on it but ended up giving it away to my dad. It is actually an "ok" product (build and usability wise) but the video is kind of low quality, I was kind of disappointed, I understand that I won't get SLR 1080p quality but as comparison a just got a Flip HD camera (another good deal from here) and you can notice the quality difference immediately (being the Flip a lot better of course) this Panasonic camera produces really...
Summary: I've taken a few videos so far and I have been happy with the quality of the video. It's also pretty easy to transfer them from the camera to my computer. But, like other reviews have stated, this camera has a cheap look and feel to it. I hope I don't ever drop it because it feel like it would break apart like a Nascar in a wreck...pieces everywhere! But, I got about what I expected for the price.
Summary: THE INCLUDED CONNECTING CORD MUST BE USED. IT MUST BE PLUGGED INTO A COMPUTER. IT IS VERY TOUCHY. IT ISN'T ALWAYS CONVENIENT TO BE ABLE TO CHARGE FROM A COMPUTER. WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE TO CHARGE FROM AC ADAPTER FOR USB . ANY BODY FOUND A SOLUTION FOR THIS? IF I HAD KNOWN OF THIS ISSUE, I WOULD HAVE CONSIDERED ANOTHER BRAND.
Summary: As has come to be the professional ordering and prompt delivery business model from Amazon they deserve the highest marks as it was right on. Have managed to wind the way through setting up the Camcorder as well as what is needed in the PC to edit and view the results. The SKYPE setup was also easy, though as a new user have yet to actually SKYPE.
Summary: As a product designer I wanted to test out this camera. After doing a lot of research (about a month) going between Flip, Kodak and Panasonic. I decided Panasonic, which was a new, cheaper product for the features it offers. However, the customer service given by Panasonic was not up to par, and in total this product was not worth it. The product itself isn't bad for its features: a skype compatible video and photo camera with a light for darkly lit spaces.
Summary: Was very excited to own this product and hence placed a pre-release order. I use other Panasonic brands which are very good so far. This camera proved otherwise. 1. The lens sticks out hence very susceptible to scratches. Mine is already scratched within 15-20 days 2. HD picture quality is not very good, in both light conditions, day and night. Video is extremely choppy. 3. Power drains out very quickly. 4. The in-built USB slide out is not convenient.
"First impression best impression" does not apply to this

Summary: Yes, the first impression is the best impression does not apply to Panasonic TA-1. Panasonic is known to make good quality product may not be great quality. They are reliable and easy to use. None of those is applicable to this product. I own Flip Ultra HD and I love it. I am a new father and since the birth of baby, I have not used any other device more than Flip Ultra HD, Why? because it was just too easy for me and my family members to use it.
Summary: Good price on Amazon so took a punt. Picture quality is great. Construction is a little feeble - the main screen is so easily scratched that you really have to keep it away from anything moderately sharp. Other than that, it gets a lot of use.
