Summary: This was my first non-canon purchase and this product has a lot of quality issues and is prone to frequent failures. Enough said about the panasonic customer service. This product that I purchased from Amazon has failed a second time (within the first year of purchase) and Panasonic has refused the warranty citing that there is no international warranty. It has so far cost me more than $350 in repair charges. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase.
Summary: The camera is great. Amazing videos and photos 9although a little week with zoom in on photos, very pixelated. The main problem is with using the videos. First of all, you cannot copy things straight from the camera (well, not intuitively). The format is weird, and cannot be read with normal video hardware, as WMP for example, on XP. Second, the way the HD writer downloads the images and videos is terrible. somehow I have all my videos 5 times on the computer.
Summary: How on earth are professional reviewers skipping over the engine noise COMPLETELY ?????? To all of you, do the following : Get the digital Panasonic camera ZS3 and record a video clip in silence. Then listen ! NO HUMM Do the same with this camcorder that is supposed to be almost a Prosumer according to some reviewers. The result: HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Enough said !
Unreliable camcorder and poor service from Panasonic

Summary: I bought this camcorder to replace my ageing tape-based Sony HDR-HC3 and was drawn to the TM700 by great reviews all over the Internet and its awesome 1080p60 framerate. I wasn't really looking for manual controls - I just wanted the best possible quality video from the default auto setting (whether indoors or out) so anyone in the family can pick the thing up and record the kids. Therefore, all my comments are based on the default settings with iAuto on.
NIce camera - but a major flaw that makes it useless!

Summary: Just bought this camera based upon reading the reviews and speaking with a number of customer service reps. I have to say that the on-line reviews are very accurate. The optics are beautiful in this camera, and it handles great. That being said, the noise from the fan is a complete deal-breaker, making the camera essentially useless. I regret my purchase very much and would not recommend this camera for anyone.
Summary: Go it 2 months ago, used for a week and broke with all my vacations footages inside. After contact Panasonic Warranty Services I was instructed to send it for repair, after 3 long weeks got it again without anything on the memory. Very frustrating with this issue since I have lost all the good memories of our family vacations. Now I'm having problems in exporting the material to my PC & It is impossible to transfer to a DVD.
Summary: I am just surprised how many people are able to overlook the loud fan noise that came with the new HDC-TM700. A friend of mine has the slightly older HDC-TM350, which I now wish I had. In addition to the improvements they added a rather loud fan noise that makes it very difficult for me to film in the quiet conditions that I need to document. If you have a choice - take a look at the TM350 or even TM300- you won't notice much if any difference in quality.
Summary: Length:: 4:33 Mins There has been a lot of talking since the release of the HDC-TM700, a lot of good and bad things has been said. The reality of this will vary from the intention of the user and his abilities to get the most out of it. Some of the important facts to take into consideration before buying this camcorder is the specs of your existing computer or the economic ability to buy a new one with BD (Blu-ray) burner, at least 6GB RAM & lot of Hard Drive since the...
