Summary: I got this camera for 500 bucks back in 2010, and I guess for the price it isn't bad.
Pros: Great image quality outdoors in daylight, decent quality indoors, good white balance adjustment, autofocus and face recognition work pretty good, decent battery, full HD
Cons: Horrendous quality in dim conditions, LED isn't that bright so it doesn't help much, microphone picks up lots of background noise, auto white balance doesn't work well, always adjusting it manually
Summary: Overall a nice compact unit that gives good videos outdoors under cloudy conditions. The touch screen doesn't really work while recording; touch it to adjust and camera jiggles. Seemed like a good idea. The on/off button is also on the wrong side for right handers. I use it usually on a tripod at full optical zoom. The auto focus/auto aperture and shutter work ok under cloudy conditons, but under bright sun, the whites on birds burn out.
Great little camera....seriously tiny little camera but good!

Summary: For the price of this camera you will be hard pressed to find another one of the same quality. My only real complaint with this camera is the size. It is very small unless you have tiny hands. My hands are probably average size and its almost awkward to hold. Aside from that the quality of the videos is fantastic. It is loaded with features that normally would be found in a slightly higher priced camera.
Summary: I love this camera! Battery life is great and the video quality is even better. This is the first video camera that I have enjoyed using. This camera is awesome. Plug it into an HD TV and it looks "movie like".
Summary: pros- image stabilizer, face recognition, hd quality, led light for night shooting(not just a "night vision" setting), 8g internal memory, can handle up to an additional 64g card, lightweight, great zoom, takes great stills too (don't have to carry my camera), links to an hd tv/monitor easily. cons- can't take a picture while in video mode.
Just depends on if you want to save information to disk or not

Summary: This camera has an amazing zoom mode. It records video images a lot better than I was expecting at any range. Video looks like it was taken by a much more expensive camera. The only down side for me is that if you want to save the movies you make to DVD+R to share it takes forty forevers to save and convert to usable form.
Summary: I have always had up to date technology and this is no exception. Works in every way I need it. Very user friendly and considering I paid 2,000 dollars for my previous video camera, dishing out 400 for a better one was a non issue. I would recommend this to anyone.
Summary: Shipping was a couple days eairly and tracking by internet was very usefull. This camcorder works great, indoors or out & low light is as good as you can see. The exterior controls as well as the menu were well thought out. To go back from any special setting just hit the auto button & it resets-which, by the way, is pretty hard to beat. The photo button is next to the zoom, so all you have to do while videoing or in picture mode is to press for a photo capture.
Summary: Great camcorder for the price. Works well as per the descriptions. The only glitch is, it is often giving the message 'Panning speed is too high' even when I'm not panning it. The video quality is very good. But the photos are not good for a 5 mp camera. They are ok but could have been a lot better. The software supplied is good. Easy to edit th files and upload them to you tube.
Summary: First time buyer of any camcorder. Bought it based on reviews of the product. Great for outdoor video capture, sound quality, image stabilization and everything. Also worked great for me when indoors with regular lights and the small flash light available on the camcorder. Am buying another one 'cause first one has been snatched away by my parents for their personal use.
