Summary: I filmed at the highest quality with all auto settings on to the hard drive and then a Class 6 Flash card and had grainy images. From the SD card my MacBook Pro easily pulled the file and when played back the edges of the image had a zipper like effect and everything else was fuzzy. The camera was good if I set it on a table and didn't move it, but what good is that.
Summary: first the camcorder is outstanding. It offers multiple set-up choices and produces high quality HD movies in low light and with great sound. I know, I took a 30 minute movie inside a coal mine and it was outstanding. The camera is great but I have a problem in two other areas: (1) Panasonic never tells potential buyers that their capturing, editing, and burning software will not work on 64-bit Windows 7 - period.
