Summary: Many of the reviews I previously read before buying this camera claimed better picture quality in low light situations. I find the low light video to be average at best, not crisp at all, not really suitable for shooting video in say a recording studio with natural light.
Summary: As a historian I needed a reasonably priced and good camera to record oral histories and this camera filled the bill. I can't say enough about the picture quality. I had to look around to acquire an adequate wireless mic for remote recordings - found it - and I am pleased with the results.
Summary: I love everything about it! It IS very small, and that naturally means that .. it is small; To hold, to use.. But the point is that it should be small, so.. Apart from this, it is really really an amazing camera :)
Summary: I filmed at the highest quality with all auto settings on to the hard drive and then a Class 6 Flash card and had grainy images. From the SD card my MacBook Pro easily pulled the file and when played back the edges of the image had a zipper like effect and everything else was fuzzy.
Nice camcorder overall, not so great for low light!

Summary: I got this on ebay last week, ordered from Japan, decided on this after extensive research before finalizing on the TM300 - I am happy with it in all respects except for its not-so-great low light performance.
Summary: first the camcorder is outstanding. It offers multiple set-up choices and produces high quality HD movies in low light and with great sound. I know, I took a 30 minute movie inside a coal mine and it was outstanding.
