A decent HD camera

Adam Turney, Amazon

  • Summary: This is our first video camera purchase and we wanted something affordable with lots of good features. The camera is great, the size is perfect, and it has lots of impressive features. However, if you are going to be using it indoors a lot then forget about this camera. Unless you have fantastically bright lighting then you will have poor image quality.

Great Buy for the Price

Joheb, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this camcorder to use it during travel. This is my first SD-Card/Flash memory based camcorder. Physically it is very handy, perfectly fits inside my palm, its really light weight with decently sturdy construction. Battery life is ok with the supplied one, for day long tours an extended battery is definitely recommended. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is the video quality while shooting in low light.

Extremely pleased

Ootyguy, Amazon

  • Summary: I am yet to explore the full features of this camcorder. But as expected, not being a 0 lux, it shoots very well during day time but is very grainy when shot during indoor lights or darker places, but I am not complaining since it was expected. It is very light due to the otherwise several heavy components used in cassete camcorder. I have small finger so navigating the touch screen menu was not an issue.

good for making home video

Alexander Goponenko, Amazon
3 September 2009
  • Summary: This camera is good for making home memories in not very challenging conditions, but is not suitable for anything more. It works great in auto mode. Although the camera has no viewfinder, LCD is bright enough even in the sunlight. The camera even can adjust the brightness of the LCD based on the lightning conditions. Power-up is very fast, automatic lens cover is very convenient. Touch screen is useful for spot auto focusing, which is called AFAE tracking.
