Summary: only after a few month gentle usage, it can not focus at all, and also keep giving me error message and force the unit to shut down, very disappointing. Sent the unit back to Panasonic, they said parts are covered but labor not. So I have no choice to pay $110 to fix it. Will not buy this brand.
Summary: I've had this camera for a while now (mostly used for family events), but will start shooting web videos with it in a few weeks. It is worth noting if you are looking to buy a stedicam for it (like the flycam) pay no attention to the Panasonic website or literature that pegs the camera's weight at a...
Summary: I bought the item because I was interested in 3 MOS technology and twin memory. But when I received it, I can't find twin-memory. There is only one memory in the Camcorder. I asked amazon and they delivered me another one. The new one was same as the old one. I emailed amazon and asked why.
Summary: This is actually my first full fledged camcorder along with the HDC-SD900 model which I bought for some projects i am involved with. These cameras are THE BOWSE. I dont think anyone can go wrong with it. Memory management is key especially when taping in HD. 5 stars
Summary: I'm not a prof. videographer by any means. Coming from using a Sony Mini-DVD camcorder from about 3.5 years ago, this is a fantastic upgrade! With that disclosure, I'm very happy with it so far. The clarity is amazing and general ease of use is great.
Summary: I had no intention of buying a camcorder over $450, however, after viewing test videos on youtube, I was sold on this one. Video from this camera is STUNNING. Some lower priced camcorders have very decent video as well, but lack something that this one has.
Summary: I have worked in television for 21 years and now produce video for a public agency. I purchased the HDC-SD800 because Panasonic eliminated all the useless frills on the higher-priced models. This camera has the same lens, MOS chip, and useful features needed, but at a much lower price.
