Summary: I truly love this camcorder. It takes very good video as well as very good still shots. It is compact and generally easy to use. Like any sophisticated camcorder there is a learning curve in order to obtain the best quality video or stills given the lighting conditions. For the most part I use the automatic setting but am starting to experiment with manual settings. For most people though you can just pick this up an shoot and get very good results.
Summary: There might be other cameras out there that work as well, but this one is "perfect". I've filmed countless scenes, trips, weddings, and everybody who watches my short movies always compliment how clear the picture is. It's never let me down. The 1500x digital zoom is simply amazing and I've had fun with it zooming in on distant buildings, objects and people. I've even stopped using my telescope to observe the moon...
Summary: I am so impressed with this little camcorder, compared to anything else I've used in this price range, that I felt compelled to write a rather thorough review. What I was looking for in a camcorder: Size - I didn't need it to fit in my pants pocket, but I wanted it to easily fit in a coat pocket, which it does. Quality of parts - i.e.
Summary: I did a lot of research on entry level HD camcorders before deciding on the Panasonic HDC-SD60K. Price was one consideration, but I wanted to make sure that I was getting a camcorder that I would be happy with for many years. This is the one. Straight out of the box, this camera was ready to go. It is easy to operate and fits nicely into the palm of your hand. I am a big guy, so I was thinking this may be too small for my hands, but it is not.
Summary: This is a great little camcorder. I have never owned a camcorder and I was worried that I would not understand how to operate one. Well this camcorder has fantastic instructions with it and I had no problems at all learning quickly how to make things happen. Before I knew it I was taking beautiful videos of my little daughter singing and dancing around the room. I could even take still shots when I wanted to.
Summary: I bought it in Nov 2010.I paid HDC-SD60 for $339 which is the cheapest in HD video camera with decent quality. I like the wide angle lens and electronic stability control. This video camera makes very good quality video even in very low light. The camera is very small and light weight. I recommend this camera for its good quality.

I did extensive research for 3 months and ultimatly decided this one gives the best bang for the buck. Amazaing video quality, excellent low light video. I am extremely pleased with the purchase.
