Summary: Just bought this as it seemed to do everything I need for occasional movie recording. I also saw the Mac compatible label on the box and I am running a Power Mac with Leopard and iLife 09 so thought there wouldnt be a problem. However when I plugged it in and tried to import a test movie a big message popped up telling me that only Intel Macs can import the movie file. So this renders the whole thing useless and will be taking it back to the store in the morning.
Summary: It is not a bad camera overall. It is small, intuitive, looks nice, and records in a pretty good quality. The touch screen works good too and enables some nice functions: you can point an object to track, focus on and set exposition for, and in playback you can easily pick a clip to play from the thumbnails table. No hard drive or tape means better reliability... in theory. In practice unfortunately the camera has a serious design flaw.
