Summary: I like the video this camera takes and how easy it is to use. However the camcorder seemed to have a malfunction much like a windows based computer. It would lock up. I have sent it back and have had horrible service. 1st panasonic makes it incredibly difficult for you to actually talk to a human. Second their repair center has a fax number that never picks up. Nor a phone system that will actually say anything other than they have a high call volume. I can believe it!!!
Summary: I read the reviews about this camera having poor picture quality but bought in anyway because it seemed like such a good deal. However, as Huey Lewis said, sometimes bad is bad. Some of the reviews said "poor picture quality in low light," which I took as meaning candle light or some other dark room situation. The pictures I've taken so far have been in very well lit situations indoors. The pictures were grainy and just plain bad quality.
Summary: With a very low price prior to the holidays, and a new i7 iMac, I thought I'd finally jump on the HD camcorder wagon. I've had miniDV camcorders for the last 11 years. My last (Canon Optura Pi) was selected after careful research with a high priority on quality footage indoors in the evening - the achilles heel of digital camcorders. I own 3 Panasonic still digital cameras, so I admit to having a soft spot for the brand.
Summary: I purchased this unit after reading many positive reviews on Amazon and other websites. I fully agree that this is a lovely size and weight for a camcorder but I am really disappointed with the picture quality from this device. The image when connected to a HDTV using the optional HDMI cable is really quite poor.
Summary: I bought this camera on the back of the many favourable reviews. Positive: The camcorder is small, light and very portable. Negative: I was disappointed with the quality of the HD motion pictures. Faces were washed out, and my old DV Panasonic camcorder produces better quality pictures. There are also a couple of design flaws: 1.
Summary: I purchased my SD10 on 03/08/09 and have so far used only one 4GB media card. The results were disappointing with fragmentation of some shots, paticularly in vertical detail. I may not have read the users' manual carefully enough but the download to my pc appeared as .MTS files and the only programme I could open them in was in Corel Pro x2.
