Panasonic cameras and camcorders are excellent buys!

Summary: Panasonic makes excellent products and this is just one of them. I will always trust Panasonic. Every item I have ever gotten has lasted very long "years 5+". This is the camera that they use at my son's college in visual arts. He says very easy to use and picture and sound excellent. A great item!
Summary: I purchased this product back in NOV 2009 I purchased it because it was the only Ultra compact High zoom camcorder to make discrete videos. It serves me well even up to this day.August 2011 The OIS optical stabilization is the best of any compact camcorder out there. WISH it had a better resolution above 1.5 megapixel for details in zooming. I do a LOT of off the cuff wildlife videography.
Summary: It may be small, but it works! and it works very well for its size. I previously used JVC camcorders as backups - but their features, menus and video quality was atrocious (confirmed by expert reviews). I expected this camcorder to be the same, but was more than surprised when the video quality had vibrant color, instant focusing, and a surprisingly effective built in video LED light. It even has a feature to warn when you move the camera too fast.
Summary: Since I'm selling this camera, figured I would respond to the review on the camera about the additional cost: SD cards $100.00 (can be purchased for much less at stores like Costco, Walmart, Target, and of course, Ebay) Extra Battery $60.00 (Didn't use the camera that much, but battery time was sufficient for what I needed) Bag $20.00 (Yes, a bag is helpful and costs about $20) New HD computer $ ????.?? (Not sure what an HD Computer is?
Summary: I like the video this camera takes and how easy it is to use. However the camcorder seemed to have a malfunction much like a windows based computer. It would lock up. I have sent it back and have had horrible service. 1st panasonic makes it incredibly difficult for you to actually talk to a human. Second their repair center has a fax number that never picks up. Nor a phone system that will actually say anything other than they have a high call volume. I can believe it!!!
Summary: This is my first HD camcorder. I bought this back in Nov 2009 for $250. It has been an excellent product with a few annoyances. Pros - 1) Small size, the size of a soft drink can. A HUGE plus!!! 2) Cheap price at the time, same as SD camcorders. 3) Great video quality, especially outdoors in daylight. Cons - 1) Wide angle lens (44.1) NOT wide enough. Must keep backing up to get the subjects in view. 2) Lens Cover is internal but is manual. Easy to forget to close.
Summary: Advertisement was somewhat misleading. It states that you can record to twin memory which means to me that you have dual slots for SD cards or one sd card and one hard drive etc. What it really has is one sd slot which can read either standard sd or sd/hc card. The quality is good but it is still very hard to see the image in bright outdoor conditions since there is no viewfinder, just the lcd screen. It would be worth extra money to have a viewfinder.
Summary: First, the two versions of this camera are identical other than the fact that one has built in memory, the other does not. BUT, consider how much you're paying for that memory? Could you just buy a larger card with the price difference? Probably. Considering that for the sake of convenience you will probably be recording to cards most of the time (so you can just plug them into the computer) I would probably go for the internal memory-less version.
