The Panasonic HDC-HS700 is a camcorder that is powered by Full High Definition (HD) 3MOS sensor with 1920 x 1080 resolution output. The Panasonic HD camcorder combine 1080/60p recording, which allow users to capture video without detail loss or Moiré pattern; and a 3MOS system that produces true-to-life colors. The HDC-HS700 records both to a 240 GB Hard Disk Drive as well as to an SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card. It also features a 35mm wide-angle Leica lens and a manual ring that extends a user’s creativity.
The Panasonic HDC-HS700 features a high-sensitivity 3MOS system which provides video image with a pixel count of up to 7,590,000 pixels (2,530,000 pixels x 3) and has the ability to separate the light received through the lens into the three primary colors – red, green and blue. These colors are processed independently, and the sensor produces 14.2-megapixel still images (in Still Image mode) and 13.3-megapixel still images from recorded video. The camcorder also features technology which increases sensitivity and reduces noise by one-half to achieve minimal noise. The Panasonic HDC-HS700 also feature a F1.5 (46mm) Leica Dicomor lens, which provides optimized image rendering with suppressed ghosts and flare, and minimized distortion and degradation of contrast and resolution. The 35 mm wide-angle lens also allows users to capture different shooting situations, such as self-portraits, group photos, and landscape shots. The lens supports 12x optical zoom, Intelligent Resolution Technology which extend the zoom to 18x; Intelligent Zoom technology which corrects image degradation in ordinary digital zooming, and extends the camera’s zoom ration to approximately 1.3x; a 3.0 inch touch-screen LCD; a manual ring which provides users with control of the zoom, focus, aperture, shutter speed and white balance; an Electronic View Finder, earphone terminal and microphone terminal. The HDC-HS700 can store up to 102 hours of recording (in HE mode) on its internal hard drive, and when combined with Panasonic’s 64 GB SDXC Memory Card, an additional 27 hours and 30 minutes of recording is possible. Other features of the Panasonic HDC-HS700 include Power O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilization) which uses gyro sensors to detect hand-shake to reduce blurring; iA (Intelligent Auto) with Face Recognition which automatically selects the most suitable shooting mode at the press of a button. Face Recognition finds the faces of registered people and automatically optimizes the focus and exposure for them; Smile Shot which automatically takes a still photo during video recording when it detects a smiling face; 5.1-Channel Surround Sound System which utilizes five microphones to record sound from several directions and Zoom Microphone which lets users zoom the sound only to hear the subject while continuing to record a wide-angle shot; Wind Noise Canceller which automatically detects and suppresses wind noise only; and Auto Power LCD which automatically adjusts the brightness of the LCD screen according to the shooting environment. The camcorder is available in black.See less
