Extremely clear video and easy to use

Bruce, B&H Photo
27 July 2015
  • Excerpt: With the triple CMOS sensors, the images in the video are fantastic. Also, since the video is saved onto a card, the card can be easily removed and imported into Final Cut Pro X. The screen can be put at any angle into to the front making it very versatile.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Great Picture Quality, Large Clear LCD, Zoom range/performance

  • Excerpt: The HC-X920 has, so far, been an excellent addition to our lineup at church. It is easy to use, records beautifully, and will allow us to expand. I hope to take advantage of the ease and beauty to create some nice promo videos for our upcoming sermon series.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Large Clear LCD
  • Cons: Not Apple Friendly Format

for price, extremely good image - dynamic range a little cramped

Jack Gabel "NPM", Amazon
6 July 2015
  • Summary: for price, extremely good image - dynamic range a little cramped - to shoot theatrical stage lighting in full range requires dialing setting the iris to -12db and the shutter to 1/350, then adjust midrange and saturation in post production - was hoping to avoid this work with this camera, but seems...

15 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I use this camera for "B" roll and for the back up camera to Panasonics AG150 and 90A. This camera takes very good video and the separate chips give clarity to the image. The IA (intelligent auto) setting is very good and can get you what you need in a hurry when you do not have time to setup and...

HC-X920 plus and minus

guitarflight, B&H Photo
14 May 2015
  • Excerpt: This is early in the game of reviewing the product. I had a top of the line Sony consumer HD camera for 5 years bought from B & H which I used to death. On early use I found the zoom on this camera hard to get a gradual zoom.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Great Picture Quality
  • Cons: No Internal Hard Drive, Zoom Not Easy

Excellent results, some limitations

Skitty, Adorama
17 February 2015
  • Excerpt: The quality of video results compared with much more expensive equipment so is quite good. I compared it to a Sony AX100 in HD mode and it stands up well. The 5 channnel surround sound is a little thin and subject to wind so I added a Rode Video Mike Pro to be able to pick out voices in noisy...
