Summary: I use this camera for surveillance. It is plugged in and runs 24/7 since the day it arrived. The 64gb card records for 28 hours. No problems. Stays cool. I would have to say it is a great camera. I would buy it again.
Summary: I had no difficulty at all getting this camera up and running. The WiFi works fine, even paired with my iPhone, but unless I'm doing time-lapse shooting or night shoots on a tripod, I have no other creative reason to use it yet. The best part, as other commentators have mentioned, is the sound. They are so clear on playback! The images look sharp, and I had no trouble importing the clips into iMovie for editing.
Summary: I was looking for a camera that was easy to use for shooting tennis matches. I tried 4 others before settling on this one. - You can shoot video with the lcd closed. (Perfect when you are doing fixed shooting as it extends battery life.) - I bought a wide angle lens from Amazon, "0.5x Digital Wide Angle Macro Professional Series Lens" for $27.99 to add onto it and it works amazingly well. You need a lens that comes with adapter rings.
My first video camera and I have no regrets about it.

Summary: Being used to still cameras, the only thing I find myself wishing this thing had was a manual focus adjustment ring. Yes you can manually focus it but you have to do it on screen which is not a fast or responsive way to do so. BUT...in every other way this camera is awesome. I would say excellent low light performance when wide open and good when zoomed in as it does not have a fixed aperture like the $1000 dollar version.
GREAT CAMERA...SOFTWARE NEEDS A NERD IN THE HOUSE TO TRANSLATE IT INTO HUMANSPEAK

Summary: The camera is great. The software is absurd. I am not a nerd or a 11 year old so the nut ball software is just totally inappropriate for the 21st Century. If I did not like the camera so much I would return it because of the amateur hour software.I am 66 years old and want something intuitive. (Added on 12/14/13) This is a handy little camera. It is quite unobtrusive and fits into a coat pocket to keep it warm and safe.
Summary: I was immediately impressed with the build quality on the v720 compared to my last Panasonic handheld video camera, an older, cheaper model. The v720 feels solid with a sturdy matte, black plastic body and a little heft. The controls are easy to access, the touchscreen is responsive and its compact form fits comfortably after adjusting the hand strap. The first feature I tried out was the Panasonic app for my Android phone.
Summary: Back in the day (the 1960's) I dreamed of one day owning an 8mm home movie camera and projector. I had big plans for a Junior High School kid but was stopped due to lack of funds. Just the cost of 8mm film and developing was cost prohibitive, not to mention the replacement bulbs for the old Bell and Howell projectors. Boy, times have sure changed.
Summary: So far we're having a lot of fun with this camera. The video quality is excellent, sound is very good. I think the biggest problem we had out of the box was that we couldn't find the AC port on the camera itself without pulling out the manual. You have to charge the battery ON the camera unless you buy a charger accessory. I prefer to just plug in the battery, not the whole camera, but I don't think it's that unusual to not include a separate charger in the box.
