Excerpt: I bought this camera after a very long reviewing process, so many brands and models. What eventually made me decide on the V720 is the 50X zoom, as I needed to get some close-up shots of aircraft at the Airport. I have used the camera only in Auto mode, haven't messed with any of the manual features. Everything has worked fine and the videos have turned out quite well.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Zoom range/performance
Excerpt: I use this for instructional videos that I post on YouTube. Before this camera, I was using a Canon T3 (720p), which does not do autofocus while in movie mode, so that I had to manual focus every time I changed the view. The autofocus on the V720 is a lot more convenient, but I found the picture quality less, both in terms of color rendering and sharpness, even though the V720 does 1080p.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good battery life, Good in Low Light, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: This camera outputs some really great looking video if you're on a budget, and the built-in mic isn't half bad. Some of the options and controls are not intuitively found, so you ought to give the manual a good read through if you want to find out every trick this pony has. I'm far from a video expert, and there are a lot of features of this camera I haven't, and likely won't ever, use. That said, I'm satisfied with the files this camera records.
Pros: Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Large Clear LCD
Summary: I order this on Dec. 11th for Christmas , finally got it on Jan. 14th and was used (I ordered a new unit). Everything had been opened, finger prints everywhere and no battery charger. I'm not opposed to used items but I didn't order a used unit. I requested a replacement and it arrive (finally) yesterday. Guess what? It was used also but I'm tired of messing with Amazon, never again. As far as the camera I'm very impressed.
Summary: I did lot of research before I bought this product. (compared with Sony and Canon). But this one stands out for a good prize range. Amazing product for still pictures and video. I can recommend this to buy.
Excerpt: Has a bunch of nice features such as image stabilization, 'level' horizon indicator, time lapse capability. The accessory 'cold' shoe is thoughtfully placed at the camcorder's rear so an attached zoom microphone does not over hang the field of view. Video quality is pretty good. Biggest drawback is the absence of a headphone jack and short battery life. The larger capacity V380 battery costs $100+. Ouch!
Pros: Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality
Excerpt: Good camera for the price. Wifi and home monitoring works ok. Needs strong connection. I would consider purchasing this camera again. Some reviewers complained about the touchscreen, but I haven't had any problems navigating with it.
