Summary: I have had several camcorders over the years, and, of course, because of new innovations this one is the best. I have to admit, I am not very technically minded, and was glad to have a tech guy to help me out with the down and dirty stuff.
Incorrect Auto White Balance. Terrible auto settings. Noisy low light performance.
15 June 2015
Summary: The Auto White balance on this cam is broken. Only when I use the manual options (sun, shade, tungsten, etc.) I can get acceptable color balance. Or try using a grey card for custom white balance. The automatic IA and IA+ modes are not great either.
Summary: I boought it and returned it. I wanted something that would have a sharp picture and low noise from high ISO. Well, I got low noise, but at the cost of a softer than acceptable image. I'd rather have a slightly noisier image that can be later cleaned up at the cost of a softer image.
The static image is still bad compare to normal camera
13 August 2014
Summary: I used it intensively for about half a year now. The static image is still bad compare to normal camera. But it is a video camera. Video and photo quality is much better than the sony one in the same price range. Microphone has reasonable quality also.
Summary: I use this camera for surveillance. It is plugged in and runs 24/7 since the day it arrived. The 64gb card records for 28 hours. No problems. Stays cool. I would have to say it is a great camera. I would buy it again.
terrible picture quality - my iPhone takes much better pictures
14 February 2014
Summary: I dumped $500 on this piece of mess, and I'm going to throw it away. Side-by-side comparisons of the same scene at the same time, shot with the V720 and the iPhone5 revealed the V720 to be shockingly inferior. The V720 focus was always slightly off, despite shooting on manual focus at infinity.
