Summary: The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is partly operator trouble. I must have developed some behavior with my TM90, which makes me touch the Auto/Manual button at the top of the HCV700. A real shock the first time it was in manual (unbeknown to me), making me think that it broke down already...
Summary: I have been quite satisfied with this Panasonic camera. I bought it so that I could take indoor movies with just the light that is available (no extra lighting), and it has performed well under these circumstances.
Summary: Simple to use and the picture quality is good although I am using the I Picture format which is not the best quality picture that this camcorder is capable of producing. I am using this format with the camcorder instead of the 1080p format because I am going to edit using my Macbook Air I Movie...
Summary: First off, I must say this camera's large sensor and full 1080p recording are not understated. This is the same sensor as cameras twice as expensive in the panasonic line, and the quality is superb.
Summary: I bought this recently to video tape my daughter's dance program. This was done in fairly low light under stage lighting (I based my purchase on the ratings by Consumer Reports, which rated this as a best buy). The quality of the video is excellent.
Summary: Update Nov. 2014: after two and half years, this camcorder seems to be falling apart, it will randomly start shooting or stop shooting, buttons getting sticky or touchy, especially when it is hot after been used for a while.
Summary: I needed a second camera for B-Rolls. I currently own the AG-HMC40 1/4" 3MOS camcorder and its main weakness is the Very grainy video it produces under low light. The Panasonic HCV700k that I just got does much better under low light due to its 1/2.33" large sensor, but you still see some grain.
Great camcorder, poor manual controls, no audio out

Summary: I have had this camera for a little over four months now. Video The picture quality is good. Even in low light. The zoom is smooth compared to some other camcorders in its price range. Image stabilization is great as well. White balance needs to be tinkered with to get good results.
Summary: I really love this camera. Before buying I looked up several videos on youtube and this camera stood out even when compared to high end camcorders. I bought its and used it for a while but had to return it because of the zoom noise.
Excelent IOS at a very slight price of image quality

Summary: If you are documenting events and have to run move and have a camera in your hands while you record, you won't have a publishable work without this camera, but if you plan to have a camera on a tripod and want top quality, then the Samsun S10 (mas 60i) or the JVC GZGX1BUS (60p) are better.
