Summary: Just for fun.... For the price OK, but the images aren't so good. 640X480 is a very poor definition. I sold mine and bought a contour. I know the Contour is more (really more) expensive but worse. Believe me!
Summary: good for the price i bought this camera cause i lost my go pro hd but recently got it returned to me for the price this is a good camera straight forward use and all but the picture quality doesn't compare to the go pro hd but the go pro hd is like 4 times the cost of this one
Summary: I bought this item because I wanted an action cam to film some dog-sledding. However, I ended up using more for my snowboarding. I like the durablility of it & the ease of use. The only drawbacks were that buttons were difficult to depress. I often had to remove my gloves just to start filming & stop filming and even then it was difficult. Also, the sound quality was lacking. It picked up mostly ambient sound but not my voice. However, I am still learning how to use it.
Summary: Not a bad cam. Certainly a step up from my DigitalBlue Tony Hawk Action Cam. This shoots 640x480 @ 30fps (pretty stable). Image is kinda dark, can tear/smear during movement. Sound recording can be turned off but this will NOT boost the bitrate for the video (as I had hoped). Seems very solidly built and strong, no real complaints other than "could be better".
Summary: It works like review's product, but has 2 problems in my opinion (test only in Mountain Bike sections): 1- Sound must be turned off, because the wind noise during the ride; 2- To use attached over helmet, this one must be very tightened in your head otherwise the helmet will shake a lot (and the video too); But it was a good purchase.
Good Video, but Audio Sucks and WARRANTY IS USELESS
Stefano Braca "CrazySte", Amazon
16 September 2009
Summary: HI EVERYBODY, back in January of 2009 i bought 2 Oregon Scientific ATC3k which i installed with Brackets on my Superbike to Record VideoS while i GO on the RaceTrack. The Video Quality is pretty good, i was very pleased with it the Refresh Rate keeps up really good with the High Speeds without Freezing the Video, the Audio instead is very very disappointing, you can only hear a squeeky noise like a broken radio that makes Statics Sounds, basically it's better to turn off...
"Mount it on ATV and you can't go wrong, indestructible"
24 August 2009
Pros: It is indestructible. I mount it on my ATV and have video of anything in front of me. No matter what speed or how much mud or water I hit. I just have to remember to keep the lens clean. Not the best video quality; it NEVER fails. 2 bat last for ever
Cons: The quality of video is not the best. A remote & a monitor would be good in hard to reach applications. I understand that is now available.
Summary: I have only used this a few times so far, but I will give my first impressions since no one else has. The gist is - the quality of the video is not great - but to get better in an action cam you would have to spend three times as much. I took it mountain biking and captured a few videos. It was mostly easy to set up out of the box - except the direction omit some steps in how to attach the mount to the camera. But for the most part it was easy to prepare.
