Summary: Save the cost of this camera, add a few dollars and buy something else.
Pros: Other than it's ability to be used in a wet environment, there are none.
Cons: The biggest con is the one pulled by the manufacturer of this camera. Video quality is abyssmal. Does not zoom smoothly. Still photo quality is subpar to an inexpensive cell phone. Cannot take still snaps while using video function. Sound quality is atrocious. Documentation is sketchy at best, and the camera will not function as a PC cam if you have a 64-bit OS.
Summary: This item is a complete rip off. The "HD" quality looks worse than my phones camera quality. The microphone picks up nothing but static! The camera's battery life is nearly an hour, and it arrived 3 days late. I am extremely disappointed in this product, and i will NEVER buy a Mustek product again. It only works on the first charge. after the first charge, the battery life time decreases. This is a terrible product. I want a full refund.
Summary: I have taken this thing in the ever murky water of the south Carolina coast and a college swimming pool. I have taken it to a maximum depth of 13 feet, but plan to take it a little deeper since i purchased the no-questions-asked fix or replace warranty. (score!) the thing has worked great so far, but the poor zoom capability is somewhat disheartening. also, 720p mode looks like 480p and 480p looks like crap on this thing.
Summary: I bought this camera to use to shoot kids swimming in the pool. Well, the first time I used this camera, after about an hour in the pool, I noticed that the lens was fogging from the INSIDE! The videos that I took up until that point were great. It may be more "water resistant" than "water proof." Either way, I'm taking it back to the store today.
