Summary: I reached out to customer service. I bought this product because I could share directly to facebook, email, or even text short videos. The instructions say to tap on clip name and swipe screen for options and share. When I swipe, the only options are to change name of clip or delete...NO share! Customer supports says that people wanted to have HD so they created the HD versions and Looxcie 3.
Summary: On the first test of the Looxcie LX2, I was excited at the prospect of being able to monitor what was being filmed on the camera through my iPhone. However, the camera would stop recording for no reason, and every time I would restart it, it would stop again after a couple of minutes. We actually bought two of these, and they both behave in the same way, so it was not that I had a faulty model.
For the money, check out the sony action cam. This camera is junk.

Summary: Junk. Just plain junk. I've had multiple software issues with this device, and the support is terrible. On top of that, it falls apart quite easily. I bought this to use as a pseudo-dash-cam. In other words, I wore it only while driving, to record all driving activity from my POV. The quality of the video is terrible, details are often out of focus (for example license plates were often unreadable in video).
Summary: Hello to all you gadget freaks out there: My LX2 locked up just 4 months out of warranty. I scanned the 2 and 3 star reviews here and 3 others had similar problems. Not too many, but I really hadn't used the unit very much. Only pulled it out when all the hype over google glass broke out.
Limited to Smartphone use only and they aren't your videos

Summary: I bought this so I could live stream my husband's band playing for those people who cannot physically attend. Sadly you have to have a smartphone to view the live streaming, there is no possible way for my husband's grandmother to watch him play from her laptop in the nursing home. Not only that but I can't even get the videos off their website to put them on a DVD for her which makes the device fairly useless to me.
Summary: The kit comes with two earloops to hold the Looxcie over your ear. They are made of plastic and easily break at their weakest point. Both my loops broke after I placed the Looxcie in my shoulder bag. I looked for replacements ... NONE AVAILABLE ANYWHERE !!! Now, I have a stick-camera that can no longer "fit over my ear" ...
